Empowr or Fanbox is the same site, will take money from your card or your PayPal account for some fee to use a credit that has no value on. You will not win anything, on the contrary you will lose money. If you sell products in market Marketplace, as I did, you will lose everything. Because you will not get the money for what you sell.

I lost over $ 1700 in sales made and we have not received anything for this sales in 5 years time! And all items was sent to buyers with tracking code! Empowr hold this payments made by the buyers but not send me any cent! Is a great fraud and a Police investigation need to be opened.

Here is some screenshots with items sold on Empowr but never receive the money for this items sold:

Empowr is a total waste of time. They trick you with their appealing amount balance which they hardly pay you a dime in the end. Not to mention that they never pay me a dollar when I have over $5k balance, the amount shows on your profile balance is just their number game to lure you into using their platform daily and be active on their platform so they will get more people using their website.

With their number game and their bs 90 days matured cashout plus all bunch of utilization fees and ad fees you have to pay when you try to cash out, you won't get a dime and may possible end up letting them taking money out from your paypal account or your credit card.

Don't sign up for that scam.

I was sent a link by a friend to join empowr a social network that you can make money. I joined and had trouble with them using the wrong email address. Then that was cleared up and in setting up my account one screen and training video stated that I could chose to pay my ad fees up front and I would get 1/2 of that back. So I chose to delay payment until I cashed out. I was doing well and only into the system for 2 months and have a total $8100 + dollars and all of a sudden I received a notice that the empower sent out to much money to participants. They stated they were going to take back what they paid and then repay the correct amount. Originally it stated that I can't have any access to it for 90 days, I understood that. Then I receive another notice that stated that empowr was having financial difficulties.

Then I noticed the paypal account that I was requested to have a paypal account to that they can pay me. Then my bank account is tagged again and again. The last time was for $181. Then I contacted PayPal and they stopped it. Then I got an email this morning telling me that my empower account has been canceled per my request. That's not true. I have over $8000 out there and wouldn't walk away from that.

SCAM

I was tricked into clicling empowr because of an address ostensibly from a friend; hacked by these unseen brutes. Now, each day I receive stupid e-mails appealing to my greediness - which I do not have. How to extinguish contact with them? They just keep on and on.

Somebody should go visit their postal address in San Diego...

I received an email from Empowr on behalf of a personal contact, asking me to "Approve your relationship with J-**** ". I clicked the link, and in the process, was asked to sign in with my Google account. This resulted in sharing my contacts with Empowr, who then proceeded to SPAM all of my contacts with similar requests to "Approve their relationship" with me.

I did not authorize Empowr to send any emails on my behalf! Several weeks later, Empowr continues to spam my contact list, this time with a claim that "K**** D**** (me) wants to send them $20." I did not take any action to initiate this blast!

Furthermore, empowr disguises itself AS ME. In the footer, the disclaimer states "This promotional email has been sent by k**@d*****.com (ME!!)". Rather than own up to its own spam, Empowr makes it appear as though I, a private individual, am the one responsible, and the one who initiated this giant blast of deceit.

I have received dozens of emails from friends and colleagues - "What is this? Is this really you? Have you been hacked?", causing material damage to my reputation and trustworthiness. I have no idea how many of my colleagues have now added me to their spam lists, crippling my communication with them.

The business practices of Empowr are dishonest and predatory. This is like a Nigerian scheme with better ad-speak. I am still trying to recover from the damage that has been done to my character by my unwitting association with this business.

Empowr claims to be a outgrowth of FANBOX, focused on selling products and making money rather than social media. They have first class platform that clearly shows you how to built a community, list products for sale, run ads for thoe products, and then cash out after 90 days of maturity, less their 2.9% fee for running the platform. It sounded okay at first, and I built up a balance well over $5,000 that was due to me.

Then, they started taking money from my PayPal account, instead of from the "balance" I had built up in my account. At first it was a small amount of $25. Then it was $250. Then it was $500. All the while my "balance" was maturing to the 90-day point. After 4 months; however, I was still prohinited from cashing out anything. $0.00 had matured, and the fees were draining my PayPal account.

I did manage to list about 60 products for sale, but all of the listings were rejected after a few days.

They forced me to list cheap Indian-made purses and worthess toys that were overpriced, which I refused to do. I did manage to sell some autographed books, paid for the shipping, and never got paid for the books or the shipping. I lost about $200 in product.

I searched for complaints about Empowr, but only found a few disgruntled people. Not the outrage I feel right now. I have blocked Empowr from damaging my PayPal account any more, and they write me every day demanding that I "protect" my account by giving them a major credit card or my PayPal account number.

I believe this to be a scam, and they have now been around long enough that there should be some signifcant outrage. The bad this is that the Empowr communities are mostly unemployed single people who are desperate for something online where they can make some money. I think they shold be stopped, before more people get hurt.

I joined www.fanbox.com a year and a month ago. Started to sell in their market and before long, users on the site started buying my products and I could get alerts every few hours as to how much had been added to my account balance on the site. Since the website states that Earnings take 90 days to mature from the close of the month in which they are earned, then I raised my hopes for a huge Cash Outs, I shipped iphones, computers, Samsung Galaxy phones which I paid for with my own cash from Ebay and in addition had to pay for the cost of shipping through Fedex and dhl in order to easi ok y keep track of the shipments.

I had huge turn over and the account balance increased with every passing since I was making deliveries and users always gave a good rating on my products given that many that bought did receive the products I sent them. In addition to selling, I wrote blogs, and kept posting and doing all the other activities that t h e website states do contribute towards earning, and to say the least, I became one of the topmost 10 earners on the site! I anticipated so much to reach 90 days' maturation of my earnings from revenues and the money made from selling, HOWEVER, to my dismay, the maturation days came to a close 8 months ago but even up to Now, it is one lie after another.

Cash out never happened, I have never been paid even a single dollar $ !!!

I filed tickets through my couch, telephoned the main, sought help but to no avail..

Recently I tried to speak about how I have not been paid for 9 months, commenting on one of "community announcements made by the Cashier, and together with my Coach immediately emailed me to threaten me that they would close my account and it would appear that I had never registered anywhere in the system!

I insisted since I had been poo atien t enough and got tired of being tossed around but eventually I realized that my comments were being deleted by the admin. What a Scam this is!!

Apparently they have gone ahead to pass unauthorized charges to my payment method which I registered in the system as a way of protecting my account on the site. They do ask for payment methods to protect one's account but always pass unauthorized charges on one's account and there is no way to ge t a refund since emails, filed tickets, complaints or any other sort of seeking accountability or administration response is never answered and when it is, all you get is threats and deception that your issue is being worked upon until you feel tired of trying to get it back!

I wish to go to court but am not in the USA and no one could help me to sue them!

Just feel helpless that I lost my life savings at a time when I needed to establish myse ok for as a youth!!

I belong to the group EmPowr BEFORE fanbox, go to the very excited and I believed everything that was said, started selling a personal problem, and have sold worth $ 55,000 two years have passed and I have not received absolutely nothing, esfuna my money because I have to buy what they call energy and I had to buy $ 12,000 worth not having to pay fees that put me for the money they invest. The money they invest me are all my winnings plus a credit assigned to me as you move up the investment, profits from my sales will esfunando investment month after month and never reach maturity because we have to pay the fee of creedito invested by them without any control and then pay part of the credit, that is nothing. Since no do, no one to turn to, this is a scam manifested where availing of the need for the disadvantaged, the charging them bleed month to month quotas.

These fees guess they are to pay the parasites that form the platform and they charge every month of our money, they have chastened the SC to give long and not talk, it's like a cult where it says something give low no more and they stay with the work of years. No where I report something, I'm Spanish, I do not master the language, I write THROUGH a translator of google and I feel swindled

Over 165 days ago, I opened up a credit card with Paypal and I began to receive emails from Empowr.com. I did not open up any emails because I thought the emails were spam. Approximately three weeks ago, after I opened up an email from Empowr.com, I was surprised to see that my email address had been used without my consent, knowledge, or permission to create an account at Empowr.com and to post. I was somewhat relieved after reading that Empowr.com had a partnership with universities. According to a video at Empowr.com which was on the website in mid February, the concept of Empowr.com was co-founded by several universities. I was relieved to have read this

information as I worried that my photo would be posted on a porn website. After seeing photos of kangeroos on Empowr.com, I felt relieved. Because the Customer Service Office of Empowr.com most likely would not open until morning, I thought I would try to reset the password. I managed to get onto the feed and I discovered that a guy named Anthony who lived in New Jersey created the account using my email address without my consent, knowledge, or permission to have done so. After I read some feeds from a Mr. Stone, who turned out to be an employee at Empowr.com pretending to be a consumer, I logged out. I was not able to log back in. In the morning, I tried to

contact the company directly, but I got ahold of a third party answeresing service called, "Just Answer." The company called, "Just Answer," told me that for a fee I could have my questions answered about Empowr. I wanted to complain that I did not create the account to begin with. The company "Just Answer," claimed not to have been hired directly by Empowr.com I found a link online where the logo for "Just Answer," sits directly next to the Empowr.com logo. After getting nowhere with the 1800 number listed on Empowr.com to contact its Customer Service department to have the account deleted, I found on the Empowr.com website a link entitled, "Meet Our Advisors." After I got

ahold of a few professors listed along with name of the university, I was told by 3 professors that they showed up years ago to only one meeting of Empowr.com. A professor gave me the email of the President of Empowr.com to email my complaint to. The professor profusely apolgized to me stating that she hoped that Brian Woosley did not get mixed up with something he should not have. After I emailed Brian Woosley, I received a highly offensive email back from Mr. Woosley. Out of 15 sentences contained in Mr. Woosley's email to me, there were 6 sentences using the phrase, "protecting you." I was also threatned with a libel suit with the following, "Such a case will no doubt be

costly for you, something that will follow you around and you will likely spend a lifetime working to pay off." Mr. Woosley accused me of creating the account myself. I immediately emailed back to Mr. Woosley stating that over 165 days ago, that neither myself or anybody that I knew created the account. Based on numerous consumer complaints that I read online about Empowr.com, I realize that numerous people have complained about Empowr.com using their emails to create accounts at Empowr.com. Based on the concidence of numerous people complaining about their Paypal account being debited without their consent, I wondered if Empowr.com had intelluctually stolen the credit card

information from people who had opened up a credit card account at Paypal. Because I could not get Empowr.com to admit that an account was created without my consent, knowledge, or permission, I filed a police report for idenity theft.

Several professors that I spoke to regarding Brian Woosley's email to me which offended me told me that they had emailed Brian Woosley to have their name removed from the Empowr.com website. Because I did not want people to become duped into a signing up with a company that could not even admit that it used my email address without my consent, I contacted the Higher Learning Commission which has power to decide standards of accredited universities. My concern was that Empowr.com was using the authority of professors to raise its own credibility. A lady who works at the Higher Learning Commission viewed the Empowr.com website and stated that the website called, Empowr.com

needs to be blocked. I filed an informal complaint wtih the Higher Learning Commission regarding the use of accredited universities to shield con artists. I found on the Empowr.com main website images of women being bidded upon with captions that read, "Bid 1 on something in the photo." The photo was picture of a young lady. Next to the photo, I found another photo of a woman's purse, a rock, and a long strap to the woman's purse with the same caption: "Bid $1 on something in the photo." There are feeds dating back to 2016 with adult content on Empowr.com. It is an unsafe website for any postings of any woman to appear on especially without the woman's

consent. I also took print screens of the content which also contained images of minors and the idea that minors could be sold. Human trafficking is a serious offensive which is deplorable. After I did some online investigating, I found that Empowr.com has a fan base in Nepal. Nepal has a high rate of human trafficking. I spent $252 dollars at Fed Ex making copies of the print screens to mail directly to the Legal Department of each University listed. I spent about $100 to mail the information to each University because I found the content deplorable and inhumane. Human traffickers often attempt to make friends with Judges, Magistrates, political and/or influential people to make a human

trafficking operation run smoother. People who get duped into trusting people like Michael Pousti might unknowingly give their power to unintentionally run a smoother human trafficking operation. Professional con artists can be very convincing. Even Einstein got duped at least once during his lifetime. I did extensive research on Empowr.com. I discoverd that in a short time period that Empowr.com has undergone several different name changes. Empowr.com used to called Fanbox. Before Fanbox, the company was called SMS.AC. Before SMS.AC, Michael Pousti owned a company that filed for bankrupty protection called, "CollegeUp."

If you go online as of March 1, 2018, then you will see that the Empowr.com website no longer lists its link called, "Meet Our Advisors." Recently, I read a San Diego news story dated February 27, 2018 entitled, "Inventor of Virtual Currency Embraces Blockchain." In the bottom of the news story, the story states, "A collaboration between top U.S. professors and seasoned Silicon Valley technologists, empowr is the the world's first platform to seamlessly integrate a next-generation social network, maketplace, virtual currency, and educational and poltical systems." To have a partnership with an accredited university, the university Legal Department would have a contract on file between

Empowr.com and each named University. I believe that no such contract exits between the Legal Department of each listed University and Empowr.com. Cryptocurrency is often associated with the sale of drugs, prostitution, human trafficking, and other criminal uses. There are many SEC reports of recent crackdowns on cryptocurrency. Our future depends on people having adequate resources to combat not only consumer fraud, identity theft, but also human exploitation such as, human trafficking.

Please use the zoom button/icon to zoom into the caption located below each of three photos. The caption reads: “Bid $1 on something in the photo.” Notice the image in two of the photos contain only a female in each photo. In the photo of the girl in the red, I am not sure if she is even 18 years- old. Do you? In the photo in the middle, there is a rock, a woman’s purse, and a long strap to the purse. The imagery suggests violence against women can be bought for a price.

Almost a year after I requested them to close my account with them the deducted $25 from my PayPal account without authorization. Luckily it was through PayPal because empower does not disclose a phone number and will not answer emails on complaints. Even still the refund process is taking a long time because they have to discuss the dispute. I still dont have a clear answer of who is going to pay back my overdraft charges. Dont do business with them there is a reason I quit a year ago! They are shady AF!

  • Oct 7, 2017

Empowr has terminated my account suddenly and without any notice. It’s outrageous! They said they sent me several warnings which is totally not true. Therefore, it can happen to anyone at any time and for no legitimate reason.

I had been working on Empowr for a year and was a First Degree Teal Color platinum user with a huge amount of fans. I became a 5 stars seller and always had great contacts with my buyers with: - 545 items at “received” (which means that I sold them, sent them & that my buyers received them)! - About 100 items on the way to my buyers for which I cannot do the follow up and for which I have paid for nothing as well. I sold all my expensive and heavy “Jeunesse Global” cosmetics and food supplements… Let’s not forget the shipping costs! What a financial black hole. My precious time, reaching my goals every day (+/- 6 to 7 hours/day) for a year, is lost also. Empowr kept on telling me to keep up the good work! I was even proposed several time to become a coach.

I have created a new account in the hope to receive an explanation and to try to reactivate my old one but without success. Management is playing dead. We are clearly being manipulated. It’s sad, horrifying and shocking.

Empowr already took 10% on all my sales but it was not enough (the market place on Empowr works like Ebay). They are keeping my entire balance of 245.000$ but also all the money I invested on the market place and has no intention to refund me. I am not talking about hundreds of dollars but about thousands of dollars. Empowr owes me over 25.000$ for my sales! It is clear to me that they threw me away like a piece of garbage because they are thieves. As stealing is illegal, Empowr is, therefore, a fraudulent company. I just wanted the money of my sales back or have my account reinstated. It was legitimate and fair. This is daylight steeling ! I was on Empowr to make money to cover the huge medical needs for my 2 Down Syndrome kids and I have lost a fortune! I still cannot believe I got robbed!

Empowr steals money and precious time from honest people. They know that most of us don't have the means to get a lawyer or don't know what to do to make themselves heard. What about the citizens struggling to survive? The ones with health issue? The ones who are handicapped? What about all of us who gave our trust in Empowr? Is that the Democracy they are building? Threatening and lying to people to terminate their account in order to keep everyone's mouth shut AND MONEY? Telling people all over again in your videos that we never lose money on Empowr... Stealing from the poor. Where the rich get richer and the poor get poorer... Always taking about visions... They are just a bunch of criminals. Empowr is digging its own grave. It’s just a matter of time till everything falls into pieces as it has already happened in the past. Indeed, only few of us know that they already had to change names from Fanbox to Empowr (with a nicer looking user interface, new features, but the same old tricks) because of all the illegal operations, the scamings & bad reviews… Empowr doesn't care about my threats but I must do something. I must fight against their unscrupulous schemes. For myself and for all the citizens who had to go through this horrible experience. Remaining passive would mean accepting what happened and that is out of the question. It is absolutely not possible for me to forgive such a grave mistake. How can we tolerate such a huge fraud right under our nose?

Management doesn’t care about the well-being of any of their citizens, just their own paychecks. Empowr can't have a long history of scamming people AND lead a company that claims to want to "help eradicate poverty”. They are breaking every law ever written about fraud, theft and embezzlement. How can they get away with what they are doing? They keep on talking about democracy but everybody is being closely watched. We have to go through Facebook or WhatsApp to be able to talk to each other! They play with fear and can decide whenever they feel like it to delete an account. Therefore, nobody could speak to me or help me in the fear to have their account deleted. It’s a cult company. Their culture is toxic, hostile and very intimidating. To disagree in any way with upper management puts you on the chopping block quickly.

Can you please help me get justice ?

I hope to hear from you very soon.

This is a reveiw I shared at facebook.com/Empowr-Scam-Alert-1576548852646218/?hc_ref=ARS-RPlor8bdkIPUb1m2VgumWcX4NpdrtP5TOkTbvrMEQHXQOct6R39rPyW3SbrHp3s&fref=nf

Empowr.com the Clever Scam Artists

I have been with Empowr some months now, and just had my account closed today after I asked them for a refund for $125 which they are trying to take from my Paypal account. I say “trying” because I don’t have funds to cover it. I have no idea what the $125 is for, there was no notification that they were going to take it.

They have also been taking money from my Paypal account to pay for purchases I made on their site, despite having a balance of over $2000 with them.

There have been amounts of $25 taken from my Paypal account previously for some kind of Power-up I know nothing about but that was supposed to benefit me in some way. I gave them the benefit of the doubt until now.

Money from items I have sold through their auction and sales has not been received by me, only added to the balance I have with them that there seems no way of withdrawing. Each month I wait for my earnings to “mature” but it never happened. Well, now I am well over $200 down, plus items I have sent to people at my own cost, and I have nothing to show for it. I have been with them well over 90 days and no cash outs available.

My account has been closed and they no longer respond to my emails. I have no access to records of sales I made through their system, no access to records of purchases for which I have paid but not yet received the goods (So there is no way I can chase up those who have not yet delivered).

My experience was very much the same only at a higher level of cost. I have shared a lot more at my facebook page, because at the time I didn't know how else to help others from being taken. Empowr is a scam. I lost and took it as a lesson learned. However I vowed I would spend as much effort to alert others as I did to drag them into empowr. I wish I had never encountered empowr. They stold my time, effort, funds, trust and my good name. I was stolen from and I dragged my friends and family along with me. Stay away from Empowr - I know the hope of extra money is enticing, that is how they got me. It only cost me - I never profited a single penny and when I asked for a refund they say is available I was deleted and I had to file with my credit card and paypal to get some of my funds back.

Please trust me - Empowr is a scam!

I join the chorus of people who have been taken by the Empowr "economy". I have a huge earnings balance, but have not been able to claim a penny for months. I rose as high as the second level of the blue tier, and if you look at the "power level" structure, the platform fees are outrageous. I am certain that were I to contact them directly, they would try to take as much as possible in "unpaid fees". I am very frustrated, and am considering further action. Yes,they are in financial difficulty. Recent letters have indicated they are now trying to sell the idea of members taking their payments as stock options against a future IPO. Frankly I'm surprised they're still in business.

They lure you in with earning easy money at a good rate-- then tell you that you cant have the money even though its fully matured . i have earnings in excess or 8k+ on there and they will not let me have it--- tell me that I OWE THEM almost 500 dollars--- ive wasted over 6 months of my life working their system and getting screwed the whole way. I am super releived that in the beginning i disconnected my paypal from that site manually so they couldnt scam me out of anything-

they give you a "mentor" to ask questions to but if you ever get an answer its a canned answer as if its a machine answering your questions and not an actual person

6 months of my life wasted on this BS

dont register with them

they only use you for y our contacts and spam them then charge them money when they join too

I signed up with empowr on, or about, 09/21/16. I loved their mission statement the gist of which is to teach 4 billion "citizens" (users) to make at least twenty five dollars a day by the year 2025. Needless to say this is a stunningly large mission. As for the rest of the definitive mechanics of empowr, I suggest that you read it direct from the site, it will be more clear cut than reading my verbiage.

I say it is quite complicated as there are a number of activities such as posting, sharing, listing, and bidding to be done on a daily basis, with stated goals that when met, will benefit your growth. There a numerous levels of activity, I started at basic orange level and worked up to second level blue by 01/14/2017. During your time on empowr, if you have a question, you may direct it to what they call a success coach who you are able to direct message on their network.

I started very slow in my first month or so and then, as I learned more about navigating the site, I began to grow. You also may move up the ladder so to speak by paying additional platform fees which they call "powering up". I also did some powering up but that is not extremely important at this moment. I purchased a lot of items on the auction site and also spent thousands of dollars buying items outside of empowr to sell on their site. I primarily stuck to coins due to their size as I live and work in a hotel so small packages make sense.

Towards the beginning of January it was suggested to me that I become a success coach and I did consider that. I took a test and was invited to proceed forward with success coach training. Please keep in mind here that I spent most all of my free time on this site, working my way up and trying to meet my daily goals. In December I met my daily goals about 25 out of 31 days. Anyway....shortly after I was going to proceed with success coach training I had a sudden job change at my regular job and this would require much more of my time.

I then declined to go further with success coach training and asked my success coach how I could slow down and downsize my account as I would not be able to put nearly as much time into my empowr activities. I got no response, I asked again and got no response at all. Within a day or so after I am notified my account has been closed and was done so due to a blanket statement of possibilities.

I wrote to empowr and stated I did not want my account closed, I needed to slow down. Please note that my stated account balance was now just short of twenty nine thousand dollars, I had numerous items paid for also that were not received, and since I had used paypal to pay previous fees, I was then charged numerous additional fees that were not authorized, and I had asked for a refund of my previous month platform fees as allowed by their rules. About a week later I found out my account was reinstated but at that time our hotel internet was down.

When I finally got back on and was going to again write to my success coach to find out what was going on, before I could write to him it was closed again. I have since asked politely to open my account and they now refuse stating there were complaints filed about my account from other citizens. I am sure there can be none. In a few short days I had gone from being asked to be a success coach to having my account closed for some trumped up accusation. Further.....I cannot access my funds at all. They claim entitlement to all assets.

In summary, I state that empowr should pay me MY account value, refund all purchases that I never received even though I paid for them, and refund my previous month platform fees, the total of which I estimate to be thirty one thousand, or more, dollars.

Yes, I am seeking help, any way that I can get it. Lastly, even if someone had filed a complaint on me, it does not entitle them to my money. I say that empowr has acted unlawfully in their seizure of my funds.

Thank you for taking your valuable time to read this.
