I engaged this man on social media to see if he fit the bill for some mentorship. After a few messages back and forth, he offered to give me a call, which I accepted. We discussed some business challenges, yet logical solutions nowhere near novel. The conversation took a sharp spiral south when he brought religion into the matter, dishonoring the First Amendment, as if it bolstered his credibility and gave him some moral high-ground in practice… which he gleefully admits.
He could only justify an outrageous up-front quote with a “guarantee” to double it in six-months time, which was a huge red flag... HUUUGE. When I tried to address rather logical, common reservations, he dodged the issues and just argued with his [potential] client. He tried to play the “money-doesn’t-matter-but-it-matters” card, which usually means it only matters to his gains.
Finally, after several attempts to respectfully decline, he became aggravated, called me an “immigrant,” which didn't even apply, then hung up. He then continued to harass me via text, with a phone number (listed in this report) that for some reason my phone could not normally block. I deleted, reported junk, double-checked my settings, but his childlike temper-tantrum raged on, hurling insult after insult for ten minutes.
I suppose this man is a complete scam and has robbed plenty of decent, well-intended human beings of their money, time and respect… but I couldn’t and wouldn’t make such a claim. Even so, that’s not to say it hasn’t happened to anyone. BUYER BEWARE.
