Proceed with extreme caution and avoid Greg Foster, the classic used car salesman! If his lips are moving, he's lying.
I purchased an expense 650 BMW with a stated only 7800 miles from Empire Exotic and was I informed that it was in pristine condition with no accidents. The car arrived with numerous deep scratches and a rear bumper with a very bad repair which was immensely, easily noticeable. In addition, the mileage on the odometer was over 1000 miles that which was declared on their website and all the documents. The most glaring damage was gear shift lever which was totally cracked.
Quite obviously, Empire Exotic had hope and anticipation that I would accept the car in its condition. When I spoke to Mr. Foster informing of all the issues, including only receiving 1 key (value $350), he said to me, "Well, what do you expect, it is a used car". There is no question that all of the issues were known and it was an intentional deception and a blatant misrepresentation.
Attempting to negotiate a settlement was laborious, acrimonious, stressful and fruitless as they demanded that I accept their terms or receive nothing. Both Rick, General Manager and Raul, Finance Officer were very rude, difficult to communicate with; did not return calls, were not available and presented low, unacceptable offers for a settlement. Typical used car salesmen, with the low ball offers and going back and forth negotiations. I was eventually forced to proceed in another direction and through other channels. I am waiting for them to send me a new gear shift, as promised.
