I was contacted by Empire Advance a week ago in regards to a small business loan, at the time i was in the market to expand and thought this would be a good idea. After faxing Frank Codispoti my Bank Statements , my business license, my IRS Tax info he told me he had an approval for $30000.00, Terms were as follows $15000.00 up front I would need to make 25 Daily payments of 256.00 and after the 25th day the other 15000.00 would deposit into my account with no additional interest charges and the payment would lower for one year of payments of 147.00.
I was then contacted after agreeing to these terms by Yellowstone Capital funding, the guy took my bank info and I finally agreed to a remote access to my bank account for his review to consumate the loan. After giving up this information which i was not happy to do he then told me the structure of the loan. It was as follows I was recieving 15000.00 with 85 payments of 256.00 which definatlely was not in the agreement. I then tried to conference call Frank and Empire with the Yellowstone Capital funding guy on a conference call and Frank at Empire hung up on me. He then text me and said that if i told the funding guy at yellowstone what he had initiitally said they would fund the deal. to not tell them we agreed to a different amount. I cancelled the entire transaction with all of them. I called Empire after hangin up with the other company and i was again hung up on and told Frank was not available and the the other 15000 was going to come from a personal lender at Empire. This is all Bogus and intentional Fraud. I am just glad i figureed it out before I commited to destroying my small business i have had for over 10 years. because that is exactly what would have happened in the interim. this company needs to be shut down and not allowed to take advantage of small buisness owner such as myself..do onot do business with this company!
Misrepresented themselves as a bank on a cold call. Told my wife they were FDIC insured and a real bank. They are in fact a cash advance company. After providing my private information in the form of an application, my credit was ran 11 times in 4 hours. Against my better judgement I took a loan because I was in dire straits. Was promised a two tier program which started me with 11,000 and I would be given a line of credit while building my credit. I was charged am enormous fee. Never matured. I am out of business because of Empire. Stay far away. They are a scam.
Empire Advance continuely called our company owner until we finally began the loan process with them. Once we secured the loan, they would not return any of our calls or fulfill any of our requests.
We repeatedly asked for a breakdown of the interest for our taxes, they said they would call us back and never returned our calls or sent us the information. We then called to request a payoff letter and we were given the runaround for weeks. The only thing they stated was that the letter was in process and they could not give us a timeline as to how long it would take to get.
They would not allow us to speak to the supervisor/owner (they said his name is John Carter), we were told by one of the employees, his name is Mack, to call back later at a time when they were closed, I also spoke to Janet, who hung up on me after she said ther was nothing she could do. They have never returned our repeated calls or sent the requested documents.
Empire advance could not provide us with basic business documents and would not answer any of our questions. Their behavior seems very unprofessional and I would advise anyone to not do business with this company!
