We were approached by a sales person for Emotive claiming their text marketing service could generate sales for our website. I expressed doubt as we had never collected customer phone numbers before. This sales person assured us he had reviewed our site and we met all the criteria and if we didn't make 5x ROI at the end of 3 months we could cancel and never be billed again. Nothing to lose. Unfortunately their system did not generate a single sale - by their own admission - so I cancelled with more than 30 days notice. They later took $1200 from our account for the next 3 months of their completely worthless service (this transaction is being disputed with our bank). When I complained they said they would be happy to cancel but first we had to prove we had used the service (they know we had) and asked for a bunch of stats they knew our site didn't collect.
In my opinion Emotive is a completely inneffective service. They know their service doesn't work but count on clients not being able to find the stats buried in their contract. Their sales person - no longer with the company - made a number of promises that the company had no intention of keeping. I would not recommend anyone make the same mistake I did and work with this company. It will end badly.
