Do not sign up for free sample of face cream from lejeune! i saw it on facebook - a free sample for shipping only of $4.95. I read everywhere on the page to make sure it wouldn't charge me automatically after so long and saw nothing. I even checked the box to see if it said anything about having to return or cancel by a certain time but found nothing. Low and behold i had a $98.09 charge from them from my bank account. When i called i was told i signed up for an autoship program and was supposed to cancel within 14 days. I told the guy "tom" nowhere on the site did it say this, and nowhere in the package did it say this. He basically called me a liar and was very rude and condescending. He offered a 35% refund - i read others reviews that say they were offered 50%. Never did he offer a full refund and just kept trying to scam me. He did cancel my account but no refund. I found another phone number to call and the woman there basically called me the scammer and said this was my fault. Do not buy!! i have read so many other complaints about the same thing happening to them.
A couple of weeks ago I saw an ad online about face cream. It was designed to reduce wrinkles and the ad said for $5.95 or an even smaller amount of money, I would be sent two samples...one for face and one for eyes.
There was no mention that I was signing up for auto fill or automatic purchase of regular size quantity at regular price.
Today, it shows in my banking statement that an amount close to $100 has been deducted from my checking account using a pre-authorization code that I NEVER agreed to. That code is 020000009139756020161006061956039000. The deduction was from Eloquence Eye in Los Angeles, but no other identifiers were used. The original products, that were samples, were a different name entirely. L'Etoile and Illustra.
I've contacted my bank and this will be disputed through their channels, but I wanted to have another advocate working on this too.
I sincerely hope this rip-off artist has already been identified and procedures are in place for holding them accountable.
