I hired Ella Maid to clean the condo I was moving into a few days before moving. I was unable to take off and be there so my daughter took off to let them in and left, then returned to pay them. I was asked to pay them cash which I refused, then I was asked to write the check to the lady that cleaned instead of the company. Anyone see unreported income here for both her and the company????
When I finally took a good look at the condo a couple days later I was totally shocked. All they did was mop the floor and do a couple windows. They did not sweep the kitchen floor corners nor the closets out (the condo is all tile). The fan in the bathroom is covered with lint, didn't clean that nor the tub and sink. Stove is filthy, didn't clean top, hood nor oven. Didn't bother cleaning all the windows as I requested either. When I requested they clean the condo for move in ready, that's what I expected but not what I got.
They did a horrible job, spent 2 or 3 hours doing nothing except mopping the floor and anyone can do that.
I had also hired them to clean the house I was moving out of. I had asked someone meet me at the house and go over what needed to be done, but they insisted on doing a drive by and giving me a price which is why I didn't get all done I wanted. I met them at the house early Sunday morning as I had stuff to do at the house as well and they started cleaning. I didn't follow them around (wish I had now), I let them do their stuff and when they were done the floor was wet so I left about the same time they did. I went back the next morning and it was absolutely awful!!!
The ceramic counter had white streaks all over it, the oven and stove had white streaks so I had to clean all that up then I looked at the ceramic tile floor. What a mess, it didn't even look like they had swept the floor. Where the appliances had been there was a dirt line which I swept up, then in the dining room, there were dirt lines all around where we had a rug and a wet mop got that up, so I ended up redoing the floors because they didn't sweep and mop them very well. Totally awful job, a two year old could do a better job of sweeping than they did. So I ended up spending most of the day at that house recleaning what they had "cleaned". And again I was asked to make the check out to Lina Rodriquez instead of Ella Maid so another instance of unreported income where neither have to pay taxes.
Do not hire Ella Maid to do any real work for you as they are just light cleaners. If you want your place mopped only lightly, they are the ones to call, but if you need any major cleaning done, they are not the ones to do it. I was shocked at the quality of work they did, it was awful. No pride in their work at all or they would have made it right. My error was not walking around each place before I gave them a check and making sure everything was done but I was in the middle of moving and didn't take the time, I did wonder why they were so much cheaper than the other quotes I received and now I know, you get what you pay for.
So whatever you do, if you need your house cleaned, go elsewhere, as Ella Maid is not the cleaning service to do major cleaning, they work slow to make their 2 - 3 hours to make it look like they are getting everything really clean.
