To start, I run a successful company, we're slammed right now, but as busy as I am right now, Tom Furman's actions left me with a moral obligation to write this. I wasn't one of the suckers that fell for his scam, so I write this to warn anyone who is thinking about it to RUN!
On 8/25/15 I received a call from "Merchant Services" explaining that I was now eligable for tier 1 processing and congradulating me on doing such a great job to become tier 1. I explained, nicely, that I did not want to be solicited for credit card processing as I am happy with my current situation. Red flag #1 went up when they asked if I was still at an address that hasn't been affiliated with my business for over 4 years. They explained that one away so I rolled with it. They explained that this wasn't a solicitation, they were First Data, the company that does processing for Suntrust, who we currently use, and we agreed to have the regional VP, who we later found out to be Tom Furman, meet us on Tuesday 9/1, at 9:00am.
I was late to the appointment, but my assistant met with Tom. I walked in around 9:30am, and felt bad that I had arrived late, so I decided not to partake. I overheard bits and pieces of the meeting that was going on between Tom and my assistant. I knew this wasn't the "interview" they claimed it to be, but a sales pitch. I let me assistant roll with it, until I was asked for my Driver's License. I joined the process soon thereafter, and Tom summed up what Tiffany and him had talked about. I was shown a BBB A+ rating page he claimed was his company (another company, not his), I was told that we were in the best tier and would be getting the same rates as Home Depot and other large retailers...I guess I was a bit gullible and his whole pitch played on emotion.
I kept nagging him about who he was, and what company he was with. He kept telling me that he was First Data, and that all of the other companies in his presentation were one of 14 subsidieries of First Data - another lie. He told me that our current processing, which is done through Suntrust, was the middle man taking their cut. I kept thinking - what kind of dirt bag company would throw their affiliates under the bus like that - in retrospect, it made no sense because it was all a lie - all of it. But again, gullible me, I kept on with it.
He then plugs his printer in to print out the stuff we need to sign. As he's printing the documents, I noticed the word "Guarantee" was spelled "Guaranty" and I called him on it. For the next 5 minutes, he went from Dr. Jekyll to Mr. Hyde, going off on a tirade about how he didn't want our business, how he's a 7 figure, not a 6 figure guy, and belittling us calling us "genius" and the like. If I had gotten it on video, it would have been newsworthy. He stormed out of our business and hopped in his black Mercedes.
I cannot go into detail about who has been contacted about this to protect their anonymity, but the last words I had for Mr. Furman were "You messed with the wrong guy."
Attached are actual scans of the two pieces of paper he left here - I have blacked out the legimate company's logo so as to protect them, but this is actually what he tried to use to sell us his product - notice the 10th grade circa 2001 graphic design skills, and yes, the guy's head is really cut off, it is not an illusion.

He has a new company named PCMG or Private Client Mangement Group he has a rep in San Francisco name named Mr. John Brimmage and he is a rep in Orange County Area he is now going to West Palm Baeach/Ft Lauderdale area in FL. Merchant please be aware if someone calls you from PCMG or Private Client Management Group and say they want Tom to meet with you at your location to itemize the tier 1 rates on the merchant account dont do it you will regret it he is rude to merchant who dont sign with him the same day he has problems with peoplefrom the Middle East or any person who is a language barrier.Tom Furman or Lance Morris leases everyone from $98-$500 a month for a machine that cost $300-$ bucks and at the end of the day the machine is not theres imagine paying 3k-6k for a machine in 48 months and its not yours i would be very upset. Thats why he is a scam with his fake savings.

Credit Card Processing Scam - I see there are other reports on these companies and I would like to add my story. First are the appointment setter calls. They don't give much information, but when I was refusing and digging for information they said we can keep our current credit card processes, just on a different matrix score. Then sales team Thomas Furhman and Valerie Moshnenko (Valerie, who is no longer working for the company) comes in and shows the incredible savings on his laptop. They are only offering this to a select few. They typically work with fortune 500 companies and by some mumbo jumbo can extend these great rates on an invite only basis. The package includes tier 1 pricing, a team of 3 dedicated customer representatives to help us with anything, and the latest equipment. The equipment automatically upgrades as the technology changes (thumb prints, credit card chips etc...) We process through the web and no equipment is needed except a USB credit card swipes. I asked him flat out if we need to keep our existing card swipes and he said we need to use theirs. I get the swipes and they are the exact ones we already have ($40 on amazon). Then we try to set up our gateway which is totally different and doesn't allow us basic functions like recurring payments and website transactions. Sarah Searles, who is supposed to be one of our dedicated sales contacts is never available to speak and does not set us up correctly. So I start digging.... Tom Furhman is the only one I get on his cell phone. He gives me some crap about Stratnat being bought out and IC Payments is the remnants. He said my account was bought out. He sent me on a goosechase before finding out my account was not sold. I call him back. He said he'll fix the cc processing problems we were having on his expense and insists I can't cancel. "It’s like leasing a car". He needs to get us on his new platform. Capital Bank Card canceled our account as soon as I told them what happened, no fees. Authorize.net also canceled no problem.
Advantage Leasing however has so far stuck to their guns on the contract. I told the person answering the phones that I was stopping payment on any drafts. He said ok. I also told him I was going to ship back the equipment and said he would stop the payment on his end and pass my message to Stephen Miel, the guy who manages my account. This morning I see they tried to draft a payment. I take this as they have no plans to cancel this ridiculous contract. I've had my attorney aware of all this and he recommend contacting the attorney general. This scam is across state lines since Advantage Leasing is in MI. Seeing the reviews online about this scam, I wrote this in an effort to come up with more victims. We need to get these crooks out of the business world. I notified the attorney general as well as the FBI. I encourage everyone to do the same. Lets hope our government sticks up for us.
Private Client Services/1st American Leasing/Lance Marguardt scam
Hear is the skinny... Basically this Lance Marguardt dude has a meeting set up for him with the business manager for small businesses. After telling you how much money he is going to save you each month, he enters your current credit card fees into a spread sheet and then "compares" those fees to what his supposed fees are (much lower of course) and adds back the lease payment for the credit card terminal.
When he did this for our retail business, it showed that even with the lease payment that we would be saving 10% off our processing fees. We had been paying about $1150 to $1250 per month with his "calculation" we would be paying about $1000 per month including the lease. He admitted that the way they "make their money" is through the lease. This sounded like a good deal even with knowing that I would be over paying monthly for the credit card terminal.
Moving on to reality, the processing company saved us a little money and when you include the $158.05 per month for the terminal lease (60 month term) there were no saving to be had. This is the 1st time I have been scammed in a business-to-business transaction. I have to say, Lance is a smooth operator to be able to pull one over on me! In the end, I consider myself lucky that it ended up close to being a wash because the processing fees were actually a bit lower than I had been paying. I have to admit that every time I see the lease payment come out of the checking amount, I feel a twinge of anger.
The lease is a fairly standard one and there is not much I can do to get out of it. I know that 1st American Leasing will come after me with a hatchet if I dont pay, so I am going to continue to make the payments until the lease expires. I dont know how much fault lies with the leasing company vs the credit card processing company, but I KNOW that Lance Marguardt is a scam artist. I suspect that that 1st American Leasing knows that Lance is scamming people but dont care because he is making money for them as well. The mathematics on the back end of Lance's spread sheet have to be cooked to make it look like he will save you money.
FYI, he drives an AMG Mercedes SL biturbo...clearly he is good at what he is doing if he can afford a car that costs over $150k.

I am at wits end. For the last 3 months I have been trying to get the sales rep who sold this plan to my employer for several reasons. First, it appears that she lied to my boss on how much he was going to save every month with NPMG. Well that not being true I felt we were fraudulently tricked into signing with them. They were then going to cancel with my orignal company, which they did not. So I was paying for 2 services. Upon getting that fixed myself I was trying to get the sales rep (LEE MCREYNOLDS) to call me so we could discuss just what we could do to make us both happy. After 8 or so messages left and waiting for a return call I threatened to not pay them (or do a stop auto deduct from my bank) And after a month I finally did. Well I had a transaction for $4400.00 and they decided to hold my money until they got their $47.58. So still nothing from LEE MCREYNOLDS I had to pay them their 47.58. Now after 3 weeks since they got their 47.58, they have decided to release only 3800.00 of my money (however not in my account to date) and hold $500.00 until they make sure they get their 47.58 for November. I can not believe that a company could get this far with absolutely no CUSTOMER SERVICE. They do not have any manangers available to speak with on the phone. I left messages for the controller BRIAN PETERSON who does not return calls either. And the owner LANCE MORRIS does not have a voice mail. And their dept. "risk management" (who put a hold on my funds) does not take calls and you can not discuss their actions with any one. When I go to Arizona you can be sure I am stopping by to see LANCE MORRIS.

I was contacted by "First Data Private Client Services" who left a voice mail for me on my office phone. I just got off the phone with these frauds and it quickly became obvious it was a scam!!
I did a Google search for First Data Private Client Services, and found no reference to that name at all. The rep on the phone pointed me to www.gopcmg.com. When I started to ask further questions of Natasha about who they are, a supervisor came on the call, told me she was not going to sit there and take the 3rd degree from me and promptly hung up.
When I called back, she told me to "quit your whining and get your mama's KITTY out of your mouth", and then hung up again. I tried calling the phone number on the gopcmg.com website, and found it to be disconnected.

This is the 1st time I have been scammed in a business-to-business transaction. I have to say, Lance is a smooth operator to be able to pull one over on me! In the end, I consider myself lucky that it ended up close to being a wash because the processing fees were actually a bit lower than I had been paying. I have to admit that every time I see the lease payment come out of the checking amount, I feel a twinge of anger.
The lease is a fairly standard one and there is not much I can do to get out of it. I know that 1st American Leasing will come after me with a hatchet if I dont pay, so I am going to continue to make the payments until the lease expires. I dont know how much fault lies with the leasing company vs the credit card processing company, but I KNOW that Lance Marguardt is a scam artist. I suspect that that 1st American Leasing knows that Lance is scamming people but dont care because he is making money for them as well. The mathematics on the back end of Lance's spread sheet have to be cooked to make it look like he will save you money.
FYI, he drives an AMG Mercedes SL biturbo...clearly he is good at what he is doing if he can afford a car that costs over $150k.

I am at wits end. For the last 3 months I have been trying to get the sales rep who sold this plan to my employer for several reasons. First, it appears that she lied to my boss on how much he was going to save every month with NPMG. Well that not being true I felt we were fraudulently tricked into signing with them. They were then going to cancel with my orignal company, which they did not. So I was paying for 2 services. Upon getting that fixed myself I was trying to get the sales rep (LEE MCREYNOLDS) to call me so we could discuss just what we could do to make us both happy. After 8 or so messages left and waiting for a return call I threatened to not pay them (or do a stop auto deduct from my bank) And after a month I finally did. Well I had a transaction for $4400.00 and they decided to hold my money until they got their $47.58. So still nothing from LEE MCREYNOLDS I had to pay them their 47.58. Now after 3 weeks since they got their 47.58, they have decided to release only 3800.00 of my money (however not in my account to date) and hold $500.00 until they make sure they get their 47.58 for November. I can not believe that a company could get this far with absolutely no CUSTOMER SERVICE. They do not have any manangers available to speak with on the phone. I left messages for the controller BRIAN PETERSON who does not return calls either. And the owner LANCE MORRIS does not have a voice mail. And their dept. "risk management" (who put a hold on my funds) does not take calls and you can not discuss their actions with any one. When I go to Arizona you can be sure I am stopping by to see LANCE MORRIS.

I was contacted by "First Data Private Client Services" who left a voice mail for me on my office phone. I just got off the phone with these frauds and it quickly became obvious it was a scam!!
I did a Google search for First Data Private Client Services, and found no reference to that name at all. The rep on the phone pointed me to www.gopcmg.com. When I started to ask further questions of Natasha about who they are, a supervisor came on the call, told me she was not going to sit there and take the 3rd degree from me and promptly hung up.
When I called back, she told me to "quit your whining and get your mama's KITTY out of your mouth", and then hung up again. I tried calling the phone number on the gopcmg.com website, and found it to be disconnected.

Hello this guy Tom Furman (Lance Marquardt, Lance Morris, Tom Morris, Thomas Fuhrman) is the biggest scam on the earth,He lies to every merchant saying it was a change to the matix score of the merchant account, in order to get these merchants too sign huge leases that are noncancellable.he also shows them fake saving on a templete from his lab top,what makes matters worst is that these merchant believe that he is going to give them the best rate possible until the merchant looks at the statement and realizes they are paying much more including the fat noncancellable lease.I dont work with his company no more he goes by the name Tom Furman and Lance Morris he was the owner of the infamous NPMG or National Processing Mangement Group read the complaints and Alpha-Card both no longer in function....
He has a new company named ECS or Touchsuite Elite Client Services, he is now going to West Palm Baeach/Ft Lauderdale area in FL. Merchant please be aware if someone calls you from ECS or Elite Client Services, or Metlife and say they want Tom to meet with you at your location to itemize the tier 1 rates on the merchant account dont do it you will regret it he is rude to merchant who dont sign with him the same day he has problems with peoplefrom the Middle East or any person who is a language barrier.Tom Furman or Lance Morris leases everyone from $98-$500 a month for a machine that cost $300-$ bucks and at the end of the day the machine is not theres imagine paying 3k-6k for a machine in 48 months and its not yours i would be very upset. Thats why he is a scam with his fake savings.
This guy has put mom and pop joints out of business and when you call him to get matters resolved he don't answer your calls..Real merchant know that there's free machines no need to lease unless you just started processing and even then you have companies like Sqaure who will set you up for free and if a company wants your business that bad trust me they will reprogram you current machines and have 24 hour customer service.If you decide to lease it should be no more than $50 a month he lies to merchant and say he can intergrade with P.O.S systems all a scam to decieve merchants to sign with him...He fires all employees that have potential because they catch on to his lies....Private Client Management Group is a scam just like National Processing Management Group and AlphaCard..His girlfriend Val Vasserman or Valerie Vasserman is the bookkeeper and got the company Equivlaent in her name there located off 6th ST Ft.
