Elements Massage Reviews
I booked a massage at the Woodridge store online. I arrived and was greeted by the manager, who could not find my reservation. I had taken my last vacation day to treat myself with a gift card I received for my birthday. I showed her the confirmation email. She started that the time was double booked and that I must have made a mistake. I showed her the confirmation again. She told me that she would not be able to honor this.
I became upset. I asked for a refund. She refused. I left and then called to speak to the owner. The manager told me that the owner was too busy to speak with me. I became more upset, resulting in the manager hanging up in me.
I called back and she threatened to send the police after me for harassment. I asked that she pass along the message to the owner.
I left an honest review on Google. The owner, rather than calling me, left a reply stating that I refused to provide a credit card and became abusive on the store. This is slander and not what happened. A dive into this franchise’s negative reviews on Yelp and Google reveal a pattern: Incompetent desk staff, the threat of the police, and the owner abusing the customer with a similar story repeatedly.
This is not the way to do business. Not every customer can be wrong.
Massage therapy at Elements of Boca Raton will not help you relax and this is not a spa you want to visit anymore once you have experineced their uncaring attitudes.
Running around like a chicken with it's head cut off only being able to sit for 15 minutes to shove some food down your throat at the midway point. Front desk poor responses to negative reviews.
I had a negative experience at this massage establishment on April 8th 2016. It was recommended by a neighbor of mine and given my chronic neck pain condition, I sought relief and requested the therapist named Bri.
Bri was very friendly and I am not critiquing nor faulting her personality in any way. This is more about the massage itself and the owner Michael Church's attitude after I brought the negative experience to his attention on Saturday, April 9, 2016.
It was a two hour massage session and I kept telling Bri to stop the heave nose breathing on my face (it was like a jet stream of air blown from a high powered AC vent). She couldn't seem to help herself as she appears to be a heavy nose breather. She apologized but continued on doing it.
The massage technique seemed too painful and focused mostly on my back, buttocks and legs rather than my neck which only after I told her to either get to it or I am terminating the session, did she do so.
When I spoke to Elements Massage Boca Raton owner Michael Church, his attitude was more defensive rather than apologetic. He criticized me for not choosing a therapist named Vivian whom he said that he had recommended in the first place. The problem is that I never spoke with him about Vivian beforehand, nor did Kelsey, Jasmine, Jessica, or anyone else there mention a "Vivian" until after I complained about my session with Bri. I felt that Michael's attitude was all wrong. In my opinion, he is also accusative, arrogant and obnoxious, and he sets a very poor example as a business owner.
Lastly, today Sunday April 10th 2016 I just got off of the phone with James who had an even worse attitude than Michael. I called to give these people a final opportunity to own up to their mistake and bad service before I wrote a review of my experience. James's attitude was "go ahead and write a review", we don't care.
I would not recommend this massage joint to my worst enemy...on second thought, perhaps in that scenario, I would!
