I purchased an Element 50" flat screen on 12/08/16 with a one-year warranty. In July of 2017, the TV's picture became such that I could not see the screen. I contacted Element Electronics and they determined that the TV I purchased was defective. They gave me several instructions on how to obtain a replacement TV.
Today, July 26th, Element has notified me that they have discontinued my specific model and, therefore, would issue me a refund. The issue is that I purchased this item at a discounted sale price, so the refund I will be getting will not replace the TV that I had.
The defect in the TV was the manufacturers issue, not mine. I do not believe Element when they tell me they don't have my model in stock. Reputable companies would replace this item with either a similar or comparable model to the one I have. Element knows very well that their refund will not cover a new Element 50" TV.
I would warn everyone not to buy an Element brand TV, or they'll be sent up the river as they have done me.
This company is to be avoided at all costs. The product I bought was from Walmart. The product was a 19 inch Element television. The product worked for 90 days and failed due to electrical television component failure. The warranty is for one year (12 months) from proof of purchase. I have repeatedly requested to this company to resolve the problem and honor their warranty. I repeatedly get responses that the company's support team will take care of this. I have been emailing this company for 11 months now. I am at a loss now as to an avenue to pursue legal actions. I may have to write or notify the State of Michigan Attorney General Office for advice.
