By January 12 2020 we bought a sofa at el dorado furniture this is a 1669$ leather recliner sofa for two people, at the moment we purchased the unit it was described as real leather.
Over the beggining of 2019 we did buy a sectional sofa from el dorado that was adverstised as faux leather unfortunatly we did have to give the unit away after less than 6 months since the material got all loose. Over this present purchase at el dorado furniture we did ask to the sales person that took care of us for the best possible sofa for two people with real leather looking to avoid our previous experience.
Right after we received this second unit in less that a week of usage after delivery we did contact el dorado since there were problems with the unit, basically the unit was described by the sales person as real leather unit on the other hand is less than a week the real leather was already showing typical signs of not being leather but faux leather with many parts over the sofa material getting loose.
This two people sofa is also recliner therefore having moving parts the material described as a leather streched right away showing loose areas right away., when this happened we did contact the floor seller that sold the unit to us sending also pictures el dorado right away did replace the initial unit since the problem was more than obvious. (unit replacement right after purchase)
By the beggining of February we did have to travel out of the country coming back by the end June because of the pandemic COVID.
By 07/06/20 we did contact el dorado furniture again OVER the same issue we did have with the original unit (that was inmediatly replaced) adding to this one a total loose of support to the unit with less than 3 weeks of usage., when contacting el dorado first they say we did not have warranty with el dorado.
By 07/10/20 we did file a complaint with BBB CASE#: 90563842. from that point we did ask to communicate only in writing since every person that was talking to us over the phone was saying something different (el dorado does not have a contact email over their webpage)
By 07/20/20 el dorado did offer to send a 3rd party company by their own words to inspect the unit for the same problem we have when initially purchasing the unit with an inmediate replacement

By 08/01/20 We were finally contacted by email from someone at El dorado furniture as originally requested on our BBB report to avoid false statements by el dorado
By 08/05/20 we did receive the famous "third party" inpection that in reality was a working order (we documented this) ordering this person to just add padding to a 1669$ sofa a cheap solution to Re-Strech material avoiding the faux leather loose areas
We obviosly did refuse this cheap, transitory solution since the main issue is that the unit is not grain leather but faux leather going over their web page they curiously describe the unit as 100% grain leather only where the body touches the unit but this is clearly not true since the sitting area is where the unit has loose severe and obvious loose material and total lack of support.
By 08/20/20 After our refusal to "just add padding" to the unit we did receive a call from el dorado explaning that they have to get in touch with the manufacture and only the manufacture can take care of this problem.
After 54 days of our initial contact with el dorado we are still being played with false statements
1. No 100% grain leather but faux leather
2. Second unit we are buying over the past 16 months (first one we literally gave it away)
3. El dorado initially falsely stated that the unit did not have warranty by them when the warranty is for one year
4. El dorado falsely explain that the unit must be inspected by a 3rd party when they did send someone with a service work order with el dorado furniture logo on it, to just "add padding"
5. el dorado now is trying to again mislead us saying that only the manufacture can resolve this (we did not buy from the manufacture but from el dorado that's why this low quality without real leather sofa cost $1699. As an extra comment (also by the moment we did buy the sofa they encourage us many times to buy an extra warranty for 229$ a warranty that covers any incidents with the sofa, like cuts, stains, etc.. we did purchase this warranty; Many times over our communications they encourage us to use this warranty for accidents insted of looking for a solution with them, we did not have any accident with the sofa this is an obvious defective product with a deceiving sales method.
At this point after 60 days we did not recieve any further contact from El dorado furniture
