****BUYER BEWARE!!!!***** I WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF IT WERE POSSIBLE!!!! ***PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING A CAR HERE!!!!*** After my 1 week experience from hell, it is clearly shocking to imagine these guys are able to hold a 4.7 rating with Google. But after reading all the negative reviews (WHICH I SHOULD HAVE DONE MYSELF) it is clear that I'm not the only one.
1 week ago I stumbled onto a very clean 2005 E46 M3 Convertible with only 20,000 miles!!! The exact color EXTR/INTER combination that I was looking for. The only problem was the rediculous price they were asking....NADA books this car right at $14,000, EIMPORTS4LESS had it priced at $29,900. More than double the book value!!! I really wanted this car so I put my best offer forward at $21,000. which was immediately rejected by the salesman, Rich Otto. He knew how badly I wanted the car, so he came back at me with $26,000 being the lowest they could go. After a night of kicking it around I came back with what he wanted. $26,000!!! To my surprise, that would not get the deal done. Rich Otto then tells me that he would need a credit card, AND $1,000 deposit just to submit my offer to the owner to show I'm serious. WAIT, WHAT??? YEP, THATS THE ONLY WAY I CAN SUBMIT THIS OFFER TO THE OWNER!!! This was the most REDICULOUS request I've ever encountered in this business, but I had to agree in order to get this offer even submitted. (I SHOULD HAVE SEEN THE WRITING ON THE WALL AT THIS POINT) My offer was accepted within a few minutes.
At that time Rich Otto gave me 4 different lenders that had the ability to lend 200% of book. The 1st was Suntrust. They declined us immediately due to our credit being locked. After unlocking our credit we were declined a second time do to the Loan To Value (LTV) being so far out of their guidelines. Meaning, the car was nowhere near the value they (EIMPORTS4LESS) were putting on it. SO, our second attempt was JJBEST, AND AGAIN DECLINED FOR THE SAME REASON. The 3rd & last was Wells Fargo, where we hold all of our personal & business checking & savings accounts. I called our personal banker to ask about their lending guidelines, and he informed me that they DID NOT have the ability to lend 200% of NADA book value. I then called Rich Otto directly to tell him what I learned. He then informed me that he had already called his Wells Fargo Dealer Rep and confirmed they can make this happen "IF" our credit was good. AND went on to tell me that Wells Fargo has different guidelines for dealerships, and that he is sure this time we will get the financing needed.
For obvious reasons, I was VERY SKEPTICAL!!! SO, I asked if he could give me the phone number so I can personally speak with the Dealership Rep and confirm what he was telling me. Rich replied with a simple no, that he was not allowed to give out that phone number, but again could assure me that we would have an answer that night (Friday), and the financing in place so we could arrange the shipping of my new car. Friday night came and went no answer. I was then promised by noon on Saturday we will for sure have an answer.......but again no answer...... Monday came with still no answer, BUT.......Rich Otto messaged me to let me know that he had gone up the chain himself and spoke with the Wells Fargo Dealership Department's "REGIONAL MANAGER" who will personally be handling my loan. He promised me that we would finally have this buttoned up by end of business today.
BUT, Monday came and went with no answer....... So, here we are Tuesday. Yep, I'm sitting in a meeting and my phone notifies me of a text message..... Rich Otto wanted to schedule a call to "DISCUSS MY OPTIONS", which at that time I had enough. I replied, what options? Did we get the loan or not? He proceeded to tell me Unfortunately, they gave notice 72 hours ago (WHICH WOULD HAVE BEEN THE DAY WE SUBMITTED THE LOAN APP) that the loan program was canceled and no longer available. After going back and forth with Rich Otto, I felt it was time to close the book on this nightmare.
