Egumball I had to sue them to get my money back Internet, California

I've had the same or similar problems with E gumball as described by others in this report area. I originally responded to their online advertising at a time when I thought I needed to change my online representation. As with other people I was promised a great many things including being high on the 1st page listings for my listing. I had constant trouble with these people at one point I called and told them I was canceling and they were to nothing further with my account and was told that that was not possible that I could not cancel my account. I'm an attorney, and there is no such thing as a contract that cannot be canceled.

As a result after protracted attempts to stop their taking of money out of my checking account I was forced to cancel the account at great inconvenience after which they promptly reported me to a collection company for 3 months of work on my after I told him not to and it had been canceled. As I did not wish to have my credit reports carry the falsehood I sued them here New Mexico we had a trial short one where they testified by telephone. There were never able to produce a correct copy of the online contract conditions that they were claiming were in effect and in fact at one point produce to the court such a document that contradicted their original answer.

I obtained a judgment for 1300+ costs and interest. They have so far refused to pay the judgment and i have been told to chase them. Nice people

My advise avoid them like the plague they do not even pay their judgments!

eGumball A Bold-faced Ripoff Irvine, California

In late October, 2011 I received an unsolicited phone call from an entity called Egumball offering me SEO services. The person suggested that his organization was affiliated with Google and had the ability to raise my business (a B&B) in the

rankings. The fee for this service was $129 a month. They would charge my credit card each month.

After that I received 5 emails from Egumball stating what services they had purportedly provided to me such as completed the production of our generic stock video for distribution amongst your the [sic] relevant video portals.

I did not receive a contract. I did not receive an invoice. I did not receive a receipt for the first charge on my card, which was for $288.

(When recently I checked the "Terms" page on their web site I saw that the first payment was supposed to be one month, not two, and they promised "refunds will be processed the same day.) I did not receive monthly reports of what had been done on my account. In fact, I ceased to hear from eGumball at all.

Nevertheless, the monthly charges continued. In January I had an unrelated fraud problem with my credit card and the bank cancelled the card and issued me a new one. My car insurance company and my cable service notified me in writing that they were unable to process my automatic monthly withdrawals and I furnished them with my new card number.

But I never heard a peep from eGumball. I assumed that eGumball had just droped off. I was not planning to continue using their service as I had seen very little results. And, in fact, that is what happened for the month of February when I checked my statement. However, eGumball somehow got around the new card number because the charges resumed in Marchtwo new charges, in fact.

Now to be clear, I run a one-person show and am crazy busy all the time. I dont check my bank statements for months at a time.

So it was with horror that I checked my statement in November, 2012 and saw eGumball was still deducting charges. I called eGumball and spoke with someone named Brandon Tomaiko who insisted that eGumball had the right to bill me. He said he would notify eGumballs legal department if I posted a bad review online. I also spoke with a person who said

her name was Kate Miller who was equally hostile. I said I would not post a review but would post an account of what had transpired and let readers could make up their own minds.

I called Brandon the next day and asked what contract I had allegedly signed and he told me an application had been sent to me via email and I had signed it via email by sending it back. He emailed me the application, with my name TYPED on the

signature line but without my real signature. I had never seen this document before. There was no such document in my email "sent".

I then called customer service at my bank and asked, How did they get around the new card number? The gentleman told me that if they had an authorization number from the earlier card they could have used that for the new card.

I went to my bank branch and had all the statements pulled from the time I was first contacted by eGumball. The only consistent service provided by eGumball was that of relieving my bank account of $129 each and every month.

The total charges amounted to $1,935.

After 10 days had passed with no resolution, I emailed eGumball several times and the response was to state that my complaint was being "reviewed" or had been sent to the "legal department" for resolution.

I will be sending a report of what I have described here to the Internet Fraud Division of the FBI, the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Protection, the Internet Crime Complaint Center IC3, and the Better Business Bureau.

Egumball I was solicited by Egumball on March 9, 2016 to take advantage of one of three spots available in the Tulsa market to advertise my irrigation. I had to agree to a twelve month contract that day or the coveted spot would be given to another irrigation company in Tulsa. What a joke, I have since learned. I was told Google had three spots available, and I could be one of the three spots to replace another irrigation company as they had not responded in time to acquire the spot. I also was told I was guaranteed a complete refund within 30 days if I did not like the program. To date My California

My Company was solicited by Egumball, saying they were representing the search engine Google. The said Gogle had a top spot in their search engine that had become available. IF I acted immediately, they would guarantee My irrigation company one of three top spots on the search engine. I would have to agree to a year Contract. However, I would have a thirty day guarantee to see if I liked and could handle all the leads I would get from the placement in the Google search engine. I was told Google had had 4000 hits in the month of February looking for irrigation in my city.

I discovered Egumball was not connected to Google, and everything I had been told was a complete con game to get me to agree to a year contract. Not knowing how search engines work, but believing the lies told to me by Egumball employees, I expected to see my company name appearing In one of the top three spots in My category.

After receiving no calls from my web page and not being anywhere to be found in the listings, I asked for a refund. I was told in no uncertain terms, I would not get my money back but would be liable for the entire year contract.

They told me while they used Googles name often, they had no association with Google and I didn't understand the way things worked. EGumball uses deceptive sales pitches and will say and promise anything knowing full well they will deny any money back guarantee. If Gumball's employees are under such pressure to lie, cheat, and steal to get business, they need to be put out of their misery.

I first tried their service on March 9, 2016, and asked for a refund on March 28, 2016. I will complain to every state, local government, and consumer service to see this company made to sell their services honestly, or get put out of business!

egumball sales people will lie, and they charge you for a free service(google places), Internet

Egumball lied from me out the gate. I was a bit slow to sign up, but they let me do a 6 month contract, so i went ahead and signed up. I saw zero results, so I called after 6 months to cancel, then they politely said "you must not have read your contract" and further said they they never offer 6 months contract. And by the way, the guys name is TJ who promised me the 6 months contract. Further, all they do is open up a new google places account for you, which is free. yes its free. You can do google places without a egumball. Of course they won't tell you this, but if you think I'm lying, then just ask.

Anyway, so I got stuck for a year, and they said there was nothing I could do. Im going to sue them when its over with. Finally I called again after about 9 months in and kind of said"ok, well since I'm paying you each month, and you lied and said I'm not actually in a 6 month contract because i didn't read the 10 page contract after being verbally promised a 6 month contract, and they said "oh, we didn't know that you changed the name of your company last year (which was a lie because I told them I had already changed the name, just hadn't updated my web stuff-which is crucial information in this field)

so they promised to help again, and promised to call me back again, but of course I gave them an extra day passed the day that they would help me and then called them to ask why they hadn't called me yet, they didn't even apologize but said they had 10,000 customers so its hard sometimes.... seems to me like somebody needs to hire more people. ANd now they said I have to wait for a postcard from google places before they can do anything els efor me. And might I add that was about a month ago.

Anyway beware, their salespeople will lie, they don't ask any discovery questions to see if they really can help you or not, they are very nice when you get them on the phone but they never do what they say they will do. And most of all they charge you for a free service (google places) and won't even tell you that everything that they do is free, for u to do yourself. Oh and might I mention, if you already have a google places account, they will attempt to open a new one (unless you tell them upfront that you have on, but trust me, they will NOT ask) and this hurts your web presence tremendously. Doing business with these people is equivalent to taking 15 minutes and setting up your google places account.

eGumBall Inc EGumBall were supposed to optimize search results to increase our company's business, but failed to do so. Internet, Internet

eGumBall Inc. was supposed to be optimizing internet search results for Bug-E-Boyz Construction Services, Inc.

Results were not impressive, so we told eGumBall to discontinue their service, but they promised to make it right. We gave them another chance, but they still failed to meet acceptable standards, so again we closed our account.

Now eGumBall is not only still trying to collect on their inferior services, but they are also threatening lawsuits for what they claim is $85 owed on the account.

Egumball severely wounded my online reputation with google places internet

I own a small automotive shop that needs to advertise to stay alive. Period. Internet marketing is the best bang for your buck i know, so i had a web site made. Then i found a company to make it come up on the first page of google. It worked so well that after a year i had to stop advertising because i couldn't handle any more work. Then about two years later i was too busy for my present location so i moved, to a much more expensive location that is also much bigger. Ok time to expand.

I get a call one day from a egumball.com rep saying that they're some sort of partners with google and that egumball.com is the leading search engine optimization Seo for short) company right now. The timing was right for me and i managed to read only good reviews about them so i went with it. I signed a year contract too. Which i regretted.

They were slow on all their work and after i had actually signed up they wouldn't provide any timeline for progress. Months go buy and i find online a totally different website With several weird characters in it that were a horrible type-o) that they had made me without my knowledge that was just a template site that had a link to my official page. When i called to complain that this wasn't what i had been promised, that i wanted my website, and about the type-o's they said that they would fix the type-o's and never did. Then they said they weren't getting the results they wanted with my site so they made this one for me. They also couldn't figure out how to access my google places account so they set up another.

They set up another google places account. With my website's name! this is the most important part. When google sees two or more places accounts for the same website they group them together and give them one of their more severe penalties. This severely damages your online reputation with google!!! meaning for me? No front page and lots of wasted money.

I ended up talking them into letting me out of the contract in 6 months instead of 12 because they screwed up so bad. The biggest problem now is that i'm using an automotive focused seo company now that really takes the time to describe to me whats going on, and i find out how very, very badly this can effect my overall ranking. Even with more good reviews than anyone else in my town i'm still not on the front page because of this. Whats worse is that if i quit paying to have the seo done then the damage will never be undone.

Makes me wonder if others have this same complaint. This has been very costly for me in actual money plus no new customers after the move. I'm moving into an rv now so i can keep the bigger shop. I can't help but think that this could have been easily avoided by using a company that actually knows what they are doing, and cares. I know the economy is horrible, but the phone should be ringing more and i think this is a big part of why its not.

I hope this post educated at least someone in how to help yourself not have this happen to you and your company. Please don't let egumball.com do your seo. Find someone local and small who actually cares.

eGumball false promises, bad customerservice, will not let me cancel and unauthorized charges, irvine, California

eGumball has not let me cancelled my services, even though it says in the contract i coul dcancel if no services were recieved in the first 30 days. They have charged my credit card 2 times for $400.00 and have not once delivered any services. All they have asked for i s apromotional code from a postcard google was supposed to send me. They promised me front page exposure on google, which has not happened and they cannot make those promises.

They also claim to be google's prefferred online marketing parter, which is not true. They are one of thousands of company that go through google. Even after all the dissatisfaction i have expressed to them about their company and services, they refuse to quit charging my credit card, cancel my account, and say they will dispute any thing my bank sends them. Donot use this company if youre expecting any kind of customer service, contract agreement, or service promised to be delivered.

egumball Total Ripoff, offering services they dont live up to. Internet

Was sold a search based on specific key words, promised to be on the top organic right above the placement where I would be first also. Ended up with generic term, not showing up first for my words on organic or placement. Total waste of money.

Egumball, incorporated led to believe that i needed to wait 1.5 months to see more activity, lost 568.00 because i fell out of 30 day refund period. Irvine california

I was called one day by a salesman the name of todd bartee. He insisted that if i did not have a number of calls from using there seo services on my website, that he would "sweep my front door" as well as refund my investment. I did pay for the service, they said it will take 1.5 months until i start seeing a difference... Well 1.5 months go by, absolutely nothing has occurred and very little increase in site visits... I asked for a full refund, they said you had 30 days to get the refund and i could not get it... Worst experience of my life, i would not recommend egumball or todd barton or kate settles [email protected] to anyone! i am ashamed to say that i did use there services, i do not want what happened to me to happen to other businesses.

Egumball, Irvine CA Online advertising Irvine, California

I read Jason's article on Rip Off Report about Egumball. I have a similar four month ordeal with them and at the end of the day they got several payments out of me and made a promise they did not deliver. I talked to at least seven people their over a four month period and never got what I was promised. ( Google Advertising) More disheartening they would not refund my $600.00. They also said they will go after me for the full twelve month of payments. My only contention was that they never got me on Google let alone on the first page. So I will join your lawsuit cause I felt I was the only one experiencing this nightmare.

egumball Professional SCAM ARTIST! Internet

Get your LIES Straight. At first you said that I had told you I own 50 businesses now you say I own 30??? Which one is it??? PS Just like I told you from the start.... I don't own any business. I'm a homemaker. I know you are delusional trying to twist things to make everyone else look worng ( just like I predected you would) but you should try to get your story straight.

I also never filed fraudulat charges on the credit card. The credit card was filed for lack of services and not by me. I did however block your numbers from calling me due to the personal threats Rik had made to me over email and phone conversation. Which I have record of. I prefer to do everything in writing for this reason.

Egumball is the one to block my email. If you want to talk through email you still can that is if you unblock the email.

Why would I claim hardship the only hardship I'm dealing with is egumball's scam. I also do not spam just for your record.

Egumball is a professional SCAM Artist. you can find out all about these types of businesses at http://www.ftc.gov/ and please also flie your report there to stop them from doing this to other innocent people.

Do NOT DO BUSINESS WITH Egumball unless you want to fall for an internet SCAM!!! They have years of experince be very carefull when dealing with this type of SCAM Artist. They will lie, look up personal information about you and BLACK MALE you. They Twist, Minipulate, Lie, Threaten RICO, Police, Feds or what ever it take to get your money and provide NO SERVICES!!!! They truley are a PROFESIONAL SCAM ARTIST! BEWARE!!! You can see how they try to change the subject. Nobody was talking about google laws. I'm talking about your black male, twisting, minipulating and lies. But once again you are either delusional or a Professional SCAM Artist. I belive it's the Professional SCAM Artist option. Once again you are trying to make everyone else wrong but your company.

Just because you can pay for a spot in Inc. magazine does not really make you a fortune 500 company. What you are is a PROFESSIONAL SCAM ARTIST!!

You are either a PROFESSIONAL SCAM ARTIST or to busy trying to make your horrible reputaion better to actually provide any services. By the looks of it no one has ever seen any results from egumball & if by some miricle they did they would be forever indept to egumball and have to contuine to pay forever. For services that are free. Who wants that???

egumball inc Credit Card Fraud Irvine California

We had the same experience when dealing with this company. Our lawyers are now reading the posts from a former employee who has posted a lot of detail about what goes on behind the scenes at eGumball. Seems like they treat their employees as bad as they do their customers. Shame on them. I still haven't received my money back and am fighting it through my credit card company. These people are unethical. Reporting them to the State agencies out here in Alabama to see if they can remedy my issues. Found out I can do this for free on my own and they are not Google's partner-wasted my money that's for sure.

eGumball This post from ex employee Irvine CA

I worked at eGumball for a short time before I realized that they train their sales people to be deceptive. Most of their sales staff consists of either drug addicts or ankle bracelet wearing cons. They like to hire these kind of people because the owner knows that that type of person knows how to be deceptive and tell you what you want to hear. Also, note that if you want to sue John Bauer, owner, you have to travel to CA. This is why the business hours end at 3:30. He does not like to do business with CA business' as he knows it's easier for them to file against him in court.

Such a shame that the owner would say that I never worked at eGumball. Now why would some random person write a false complaint? I guess the lies really do start at the top of the totem pole.

  • May 12, 2023

Do not do business with this company. I was made multiple promises, charged hundreds of dollars and they did absolutely nothing. When I called to complain, I was told I did not understand their services. I requested a print-out or documentation of the endeavors and efforts put forth to my benefit and was told "a lot of stuff was done, our job is to put you on the first pace of Google". When I asked, what "stuff" was done, the account rep could not respond. She offered to send me a report - it was never sent. I waited 20 days and contacted and requested it again, it never arrived so I reversed 2 months of billing (they do nothing but do not hesitate to bill your credit card).

After reversing charges, I got a phone call from a person purporting to be a manger, that person also told me "a lot of stuff was done, and I can send you a report". The report was never sent but a rebuttal to the credit card reversal was provided to the bank. Upon reciept of the credit card reversal, I contacted the manager again, who continually stated they had done stuff and I just did not understand. When I read my notes of what I was promised, I was told they do not do those things and it is my fault for not understanding. I again asked for any details on work allegedly done and was told it would be sent.

This compnay is a scam. The promise help promoting websites, but do nothing. When you ask what was done, they only sat "stuff" and make light of the fact that the customer just does not understand the business they are in. The only thing to understand is that this company is a rip-off. They will steal your money and do nothing to earn it and then hide behind the fact they are in California and "untouchable" as for collecting the judgment. When my lawyer asked for contact, he was told they do not have a legal department and would not give the name of the Registered Agent and would not give a name for contact.

  • May 12, 2023

eGumball has not let me cancelled my services, even though it says in the contract I could cancel if no services were recieved in the first 30 days. They claim there is services by emailing me. They have charged my credit card 2 times for $400.00 and have not once delivered any services. All they have asked for is promotional code from a postcard google was supposed to send me. It does not take google this long to deliver the post card. I have done it several times before. They promised me front page exposure on google, which has not happened and they cannot make those promises.

They also claim to be google which is not true. They are one of thousands of company that go through google. Even after all the dissatisfaction I have expressed to them about their company and services, they refuse to quit charging my credit card, cancel my account, and say they will dispute any thing my bank sends them. Do not use this company if you're expecting any kind of customer service, contract agreement, or service promised to be delivered. They are a huge SCAM!!!! I'm going to try Yext instead.

  • May 12, 2023

This company made it sound like they were partners with Google and that they could get me ranking in the top 3 for Google maps. They did not perform anywhere close to that. When I asked to cancel they refused and charged me almost $500 to get out from under them. There customer service is rude at best and now they are threatening to sue me for writing reviews. Check out egumball in the better business bureau. Somehow they have an A- ranking with 19 complaints almost exactly like mine.

  • May 11, 2023

It is apparent that you were not employed at eGumball, Inc., or you would be more knowledgeable about eGumball and its business practices - or at least more specific to the alleged claim of deception. Although we are successful in helping businesses reach the first page of Google, eGumball as a practice, can never guarantee front page listings, as published in section 3 of eGumball’s Terms and Conditions (http://www.egumball.com/terms.html). Also, the CEO of eGumball first-handedly overlooks the sales and customer service department to ensure compliance with terms, so not to miscommunicate with current or future clients. Further, there is no door between our customer service department and sales department. eGumball not only cross-trains these departments, but they frequently work together and interact inside and outside of the office. Lastly, eGumball is not a scam and strives for excellence, which is why we are one of the top leaders in the industry for eight years running.

  • May 11, 2023

I was contacted by phone by eGumball's marketer who implied the company was part of Google, described helpful marketing services based on a microsite they would post and do search optimization for representing my business, over which I would have control. They then posted a shoddy, amateur-appearing microsite, rife with misspellings and inaccuracies without my clearance to do so and, when I discovered it, refused to take it down, refund me or even immediately terminate my contract as I requested upon becoming aware of what had been posted which was detrimental to my professional reputation and business.

I was rudely treated, told the contract could not be terminated early (before 6 months) and was threatened that the microsite would not be taken down until I had paid off the remainder of the contract. When I wrote naming this blackmail I was finally assured the microsite would be taken down at that time, which did not happen, after my giving in and agreeing to wait out the 6 months contract.

After the six months initial contract although they were in possession of my letter demanding termination ASAP they nonetheless converted my 6 month contract into an ongoing month to month for which they continued to charge my credit card. When I discovered this and asked to be refunded at least the fees charged after the end of the initial contract they again refused any recourse. This is a disreputable company which deceived me into signing a contract, posted damaging content and willfully ignored requests to terminate, harming my business and reputation in the process.

E-gumball inc stay away i waisted of $2900.00 they wanted. I just canceled my card. I recorded the initial conversation and started to do some research after they tried force me to some 12 months contract. They said they were going to take me to collections. I laughed cancelled my card. Lol. Their website https://www.Egumball.com and https//www.Mapsssupport.com. They promise they are the best at google marketing, world leader in google marketing, google recommended marketing company as well. All lies and the original person said she was from google maps support. Notifying google of that. I did a little more digging and found that they have a website https://www.Mapssupport.com.

Google listing link is here. Fake review's

Egumball, inc.

7525 irvine center dr #100, irvine, ca 92618

(949) 597-1000

They also have a ton of bad reviews on bbb.Org. Look here below

They have employee's manage the reviews because everytime i have been monitoring them in my google notifications in google i see that another goes everywhere online and submits some reviews to suppress the information.

Here is a review from http://www.Holysmoke.Org

A customer writes:

I had a horrible experience with egumball. This company mentioned on the contract that in case my web site was not put up in a period of 30 days, a full refund would be given to me. There was also no clause on the contract which gave them authority to make payments electronically. When they deducted money from my bank account without any authorization, i was stunned. I instantly cancelled my service and they told me that they had my bank details with authorization to deduct more money. This is illegal and breaking the law!

My bank verified everything and told me that i was right. One cannot remove money from another account just because they possess bank information. The money was refunded by the bank since this unethical and immoral company broke the law. I did not even get through to these people. They are absolute criminals. I will keep filing charges on them and my bank will refund any money they take in the future although these prospects are a little worrying to say the least. In fact, if you see here, another individual has also posted about a terrible experience with egumbell. These people label themselves as google support and will claim to bring your webpage on the very first page of the online search results.

When they called this person, it was cold calling. The customer care executive assured this complainant that the best google rankings solution would be found within only a few weeks. He also told the complainant that there would be no false claims and that everything would be done within a sum of $600. As a result, the complainant agreed to make the advance payment owing to the affordable rate. The project in charge called back the complainant sometime later and gave payment details along with sending a mail asking for the payment. The complainant gave credit card details and the company in charge stated that work would instantly start on the project and asked for all website details.

The complainant sent all information right away. The person never called up after this time and did not even issue a mail confirmation about receiving the details. When called after around a week, someone else picked up. When the aggrieved party narrated the entire situation, the new person stated that an email would be sent containing all details. However, this did not happen as well. Again, the complainant called and explained everything to another company person. The payment was processed by the company on the very next day of sending them all the details. The money would be withdrawn after a week is what the agent fraudulently stated beforehand. The complainant wanted to cancel the contract and asked for a refund by calling the company. They stated that refunds can be applied for without saying yes or no. These guys ripped off this hapless individual just like they did to me. This is even worse and they charged $800 instead of $600 to this person too. These people are really misleading. Do not deal with them ever!

They also have a facebook dedicated to egumball scam. Listed below.

I have just received a phone call from an employee at egumball.com who said they represent Google. He was rude and unprofessional when I expressed that I didn’t want to talk to him about the product he offered. His phone number is 1-949-597-1000. I know this is his number because after I hung up on him he called me back and threatened me saying that he would make sure that my business wasn’t on Google and never would be. I take this as a direct attempt on his part to damage my business.

Liars!!!

Don't use this company! They will straight up lie to you! Told me that someone came off the top 3 listings and that they are looking for someone to take that spot. That was a big LIE!! I was told, that they do tell people that to get the business but cannot guarantee you will be in the top 3. I was told it was a goal to get you to the top but not guaranteed at all to put you there. My account was not activated within the first 30 days and I requested several times to cancel. I was told that I would not get a refund at all, if I canceled before account was activated. I was told that they were in the business to make money and not lose money! I asked about the "Performance Guarantee" they said " just because I want to cancel before my account was activated, I cant just opt out without penalty". After I spoke with them, they told me that they will for sure have my account activated today. That way I cant get any refund at all! They only did that because I requested to cancel and try to get money out of me! EGUMBALL IS HORRIBLE & LIARS! Just out to get your money! DONT USE EGUMBALL!!!!

SMART MOUTH SALESMAN

I did not pay for any services for egumball and told the salesman after 15 minutes of listening to his pushy sales pitch. I told him to email me the information and he got smart and said I wasted his time and he would make sure I would never end up on google!

E gumball internet

First of all let me say that if my company was on this site with all these complaints i would have to

A) change the way i do business b) go out of business like e-gumball should.

When you type in e-gumball on google and one of the sentences states Complaints) that's a red flag.

From reading the posts no wonder they have so many complaints. They are trained very well to talk the talk but they don't walk the walk.

They offer deals that they don't follow through with, they lie, they double charge, they make it sound like you're the idiot and misunderstood. They went as far as telling us to get a fake phone # and address in a popular city here in michigan so the rankings would be higher.

Their agreement form you sign does not state anything about that a early cancellation will result in a 100% of the remaining agreement. I still don't get how you can charge a customer for something they are not receiving. It's best if their conversations/promises were recorded.

We had 5 months left when we cancelled. They wanted to keep us as costumers and offered us 2 months free Jul-aug) and i paid them the 3 months in full. Sept, oct, nov, 2012 and i would not renew again. But in sept, they charged my new card again!!!!!

When i called them they stated that they charged for 3 months instead of 5 is because i was going to renew. When she took my payment she knew it was for 3 months. The charge is $120 it's not alot of $$ but it's the point of them pulling this crap on people. They must really need the $120.

By the way we tried to cancel them numerous of times.

I will continue this investigation with the c.C company.

eGumball SCAM!!! Internet

eGumball has not let me cancelled my services, even though it says in the contract I could cancel if no services were recieved in the first 30 days.

Egumball egumball, do not purchase their service, scam irvine, ca internet

I have been scammed by this company first hand. Please, if you have a brain in your head do not have any sort of dealings with anyone associated with egumball. My saga continues close to 5-6 months later dealing with these shady people. I went into business with the best intentions, for more info see my earlier report. A few days after my initial complaint on this sight, i get a call from my "manager", brandon tomaiko. He takes very active steps to "fix" my account, although it had already been 3-4 months at this point. At the end of this phone call he asks me to consider taking down my complaint. Of course! why didn't i put it together sooner... That was the reason for the call. I am beyond mortified with my decision to do business with this company, if you can call it that, and you will be too. Brandon made that call on a friday... He said he would call me back monday. That was about three weeks ago, still no call. I emailed him this morning, 04/10/2014 and he called me back to leave me a voicemail. Called him back, his extension does not answer. This has to be one of the worst business decision i have ever made in my life. Surely, more reviews to come! jordan magged, vp, solid gold insurance

egumball scam artist of the worst kind irvine California

I am an insurance agent in Pasadena, CA. With promises of top-notch internet advertising, I was taken. Too bad, I had high hopes. It's not like it's impossible. For these people it is. They are the Worst kind of scam artists, they do not call back, they are masters of placation. I hate to admit it, but I don't often take these sort of risks, lest this sort of thing happen. Guess what? Got screwed by some start up in Irvine called e gumball. I have been swindled, and you will too. If your aim is to waste your time and your money, then by all means give them a call. by the way, it's been about 4 months and still Nothing on google. I should have read a report like this before I signed up. and finally, egumball, eat s**t. you are the worst kind of people. I rue the day.... sincerely, Vice President

egumball Internet SEO irvine California

Since eGumball has removed themself from Yelp and other Internet quality control sites, and ROR doesn't remove reviews, there are a few of us who'd like for business owners to know the truth. eGumball is a call center that hires ex cons, nomads, homeless and uneducated. Doubt that one person in the sales and customer service dept. holds any kind of diploma or degree. Most of the employees are drug addicts and that seems to be the kind of element that's preferred since drug addicts are known to lie and cheat in any way possible to get what they want. Very coniving What they train their sales staff to say and what they deliver are miles apart. eGumball owner holds a very high snide attitude as he laughs about how he's managed to get money out of people and NOT deliver the goods.

e-gumball, EGUMBALL, E-Gumball marketing SCAM ALERT - will take your money and do nothing Irvine CA

Egumball Egumball scam & deception Nationwide

Egumball contacted me and promised to get the highest Google listing and a prime listing on Google maps. Originally they called me and sounded very convincing. Unfortunately I agreed to give them a trial and agreed to pay $398 to start. I also gave them my credit card.

But no new client EVER called my business and it was never listed even with simple and obvious key words. But they continued to charge my card, which I had to change. Now they sent me a letter from "Nationwide Recovery Systems, LDT" to collect the remaining $1194. for the yearly contract, which I do not remember ever signing.

This company is obviously a pure scam. Stay away as far as you can!!!

Egumball Internet

This company made it sound like they were partners with Google and that they could get me ranking in the top 3 for Google maps. They did not perform anywhere close to that. When I asked to cancel they refused and charged me almost $500 to get out from under them. There customer service is rude at best and now they are threatening to sue me for writing reviews. Check out egumball in the better business bureau. Somehow they have an A- ranking with 19 complaints almost exactly like mine.

eGumball SEO marketing Fraud illegal contract Irvine CA

eGumball committed fraud in the following ways:

1) They called me and represented themselves as Google, which I found out later was untrue.

2) I distinctly asked about the contract terms. I was told month to month contract, able to be cancelled at any time. I clearly stated on the call several times that I would NOT sign any contract for long term after dealing with another useless SEO company.

3) They promised me a written contract I could physically sign. They said they could do that but I need to “click through some stuff online” to get my account set-up. I was rushed through a whirlwind on “click here” on various buttons. I was not given any time to read. I was told none of it was binding.

4) They started automatically billing my credit card. They did not deliver the promised paper contract for me to sign. After several months and I found absolutely no change with their “services”. In fact, I could not find them doing anything but hogging the ownership for my website. I called them to cancel the contract by the month to month terms I told on the phone. At that point I was told I was “locked in” for another 6 months – a 12 month contract.

5) I refused to pay for a company that does nothing but bill my credit card and lie to me on the phone. I cancelled the credit card and discuss their activities with the card company.

Now I have a lawyer calling and harassing my employees and disrupting my business.
