Educational Funding Co Reviews
This "company" was a third party billing service that a nerby gym used. After my 6 month, non renewing, contract ended, they continued to charge me $180 per month. It is now over a year later, and they still attempt to charge my card $180 per month, sometimes even multiple times per month. My credit card company is aware of this issue, and has disputed the charges many times. I have even cancelled my old credit card, but they continue to charge it which unfortunately carries over to my new card since it was a "pre-authorized charge."
When you attempt to call and speak with someone from EFC, they first pass you along to several different people. Next, they deny having your information, and deny ever billing you. It is a complete waste of time to attempt to talk to anyone there. It is obvious they are given a script and only allowed to provide you with very little information. Based on everything else I have read online, dozens of people have filed lawsuits with them under Fair Dept Collection Practices Act on the grounds of Consumer Fraud, and hundreds of people have threatened to do so.
It is absolutely criminal what this company is doing. They are basically charging people for large amounts whenever they desire, and then not answering as to why or how they have their card information still, and more importantly, why they are making the charges in the first place. There is no difference between this company, and someone that steals your credit card from your wallet on the street. Complete unauthorized charges. It is absolutely insane.
As of yesterday, I have contacted a lawyer to help me resolve this issue.
