On October 25, 2017 I ordered a portable Air Conditioner Unit. I received the unit, November 1, 2017 and began running it and it began leaking all over the floor, after 1 week I called them. They told me I probably did not have it hooked up right. 2 days later the unit began giving me a code of FO. I looked the code up and it said I needed to contact the company because it was leaking refrigerant. This was a scratch and dent unit so it had no warranty on it other than 30 days which was listed on their website. Once I got this code I called them again which was will before my 30 days were up. They offered nothing.
At that point I decided that what really mattered was using the heat so I began running the heat only. It wasn’t cooling any more and eventually the heat went to the same status as the cooling FO. So I contacted the company again for a 3rd time 2 days after my warranty supposedly ended and they said my warranty was up so TOO BAD. I insisted in talking to the Manager and she insisted it was just TOO BAD. I lost my money and she didn’t have to do anything. My 4th attempt I made was December 12th. I wrote an email asking the tech department if they could fix it and I would pay for it. They refused and told me to find a local tech to make the repair.
I am very angry and out this money. I was sold a lemon and totally ripped off and the company knew what they did. In their instruction booklet they sent me it had the date the unit was sold before which was 12-26-16. It had been sold before and returned so they just sent it to me as a scratch and dent unit to get rid of it.
I purchased a $1400.00 wine cooler from them June 2015. Within a few months it stopped working. After several failed service attempts they sent a new unit. It also stopped working within months. Now they claim they won't stand behind the one year warranty because the warranty is only from the original date of purchase of original unit. WHAT? The unit they sent is less than six months old and doesn't work but too bad for me. If a product doesn't work and you've already replaced it once doesn't that say something about the product?
