In our experience, Edgepark Medical Supplies will send unauthorized medical supplies and claim that insurance has approved the cost. At the end of the order, they read a canned disclaimer saying that "you might be billed more." If you say right away that you don't want the item unless the insurance has approved it and the amount that you pay over the telephone is the final amount, they ignore your instructions and send the item anyway. A month later you receive another bill for an inflated amount that you never agreed to and clearly refused in the previous call. How about almost $158 dollars for a $63 medical device you can buy over the counter at Walgreens? It seems, in our experience, to be a business model designed to screw seniors and rip off insurance companies and strong arm people into paying bogus bills. If the company is acting in good faith...they can play the tape of our call "for training puropses."
