we purchase a year contract with the ECM HOme warrenty Services and they claim that they unlimted labor and supplies parts and service calls. yet, each time that we called them the techs came over and diagnosed one ac system and did not fix the leak and recommended a new system at 7000.00 and the unit was repairable and they even wanted the less than 10 year unit to be a trade in for a discount. Then they gave a finance option at over 11 percent to pay off the unit. They are a paperless company and i requested a formal diagnosis manually and they would not provide it and stated it would be sent to my email. I did not recieve it. Then my other ac unit had frozen coil interior and the tech came by and stated that I needed an new coil and charged me 900.00 and after it was replaced the unit kept freezing up still on the new coil the techs came out again and stated that the freeon leak was now within the concrete wall and it would cost 3000.00 in labor so I pursed to get a second opinion and the tech found the leak interior of the home unit and solder it and fixed it and it cost me 400.00 But its fixed. So They did not fix the problem and charged me for the services that were not needed and did not fix the leak and misdiagnosed the unit also. This situation is serious because it involves and elderly woman who took their word and spent with this company 800.00 then 900.00 then 190.00 and a new system at 7000.000 and it was not necessary and this could have been repaired. I consider this malpractice, fraud and bad business practice. I have attempted to get all the bills from them and they will not send it to me expcept for how I paid for the service and state that they sent it to me via email. my family member that is eledely and does not access the email well. This company is severly incompent, and poor customer service.
