Sold me a lemon, a vehicle with multiple pronlems beyond the body work He buys salvage vehicles and "says" he repairs them, however he only repairs the body work and not damages you can see... And he uses another person to represent themselves as an assistant. BE AWARE OF THIS PERSON NAME SAM (owner)
I was randomly referred to this autobody shop by Sam's nephew who had seen a dent in my truck in a parking lot. His nephew said that Sam owned an autobody shop that would waive my 500$ deductible if I get my truck repaired at their autobody shop. I contacted Sam who said yes he will waive the 500$ and complete all the work on my truck. I thought that this was a normal deal that an autobody shop would do considering they will get guranteed payment from my insurance company who issues the check.
I took my 2012 truck in and Sam assured me that all the repairs would be made that were included in the claim that the Geico adjuster quoted. Geico issued a 2 party check for over 3000$. When I returned to pick up my truck there were several parts of the claim that Sam did not do. I mentioned the missing work that geico/I had paid for and Sam immediately became unreasonable and unwilling to discuss the issues. He said that I should have known that it wouldnt get done because he was waiving the 500$ deductible. I said NO that was not the deal. The deal was that everything would get done as the claim was paying. Sam did not discuss anything prior with me on things that he was going to skip over in leu of the deductible. If Sam had stated that he was going to Skip work that needed to get done then I clearly would have waited and found another shop or just not filed a claim until I had the 500$ to pay my deductible.
Sam was so frustrating to deal with that I refused to leave the property until he gave me a receipt showing the work the his auto body shop had completed. The only paper that Sam would give me as a receipt is MY GEICO claim form which included the items and services that MY insurance was going to cover. Sam became so difficult that I called the Phoenix police department to witness that the service that I paid for was clearly not completed on the vehicle. I have a full police report documenting that over half of the paid services did not get completed. Basically Sam's shop popped out a dent and buffed and matched the paint. He did not complete the other repairs that were being paid for.
This autobody shop also forged my signature on the 2 party check to cash the 3200$ check. I assume when I picked up the vehicle that I would review the repairs and sign off on my required signature section of the check. That is not the case. Someone had already forged my name to cash the check.
This issue is still unresolved. Due to the forged signature I was able to contact geico and they chose to get the money back after I signed an affidavit of forgery. 1 year later I recieve a summons that I am being sued by his Body shop for the full 3000$. I am willing to pay for what his shop did. Its my insurance, my claim, and my premiums went up. I still have not received an appropriate bill from his shop which I requested the day of the occurance andI requested from his attorney when they contacted me for payment.
The reviews on this shop are horrible and I really wish I would have thought more before going with a random referral. I would have rather left the dent and not filed a claim then to deal with this type of terrible service. Live and Learn.
Next up Ill be writing a statement for the judge to review the facts. The truck is long gone and has been traded in because I didnot trust any of the work that was doneandI didnt want a crappy job done on my 2012 truck. So i traded it in.
