Ebates Inc. Reviews

I have rejoined Ebates again despite having never gotten the $10.00 check for the first time I'd joined years ago, so I wrote to them. They told me I had to have spent $25.00 first. They don't mention this at all in the ads. I'd never gotten it anyway and I think I'd used them on a Black Friday on the net though I'm not sure anymore. That I never got a $10.00 check from them I'm sure of.

I told them Coupon Cabin was superior to them anyway because THEY were honest and I'd gotten a nice check from them. Ebates backed out of keeping Their word. Not worth bothering with that's for sure!! All they give you are "peanuts" I spent like $60.00 or $70.00 and got a whole $2.35!!

The customer service specialist that contacted me went by the name of 'Pa' and just like the company has proven of themselves, her name doesn't even sound legit. There's no one more suitable yet, for the job! She was also the one who deactivated my mother's ebates account, my stepfather's account & my individual account when addressed for our missing cashback. After numerous, I mean numerous attempts to resolve this issue and after resubmitting and forwarding all my order confirmations to the [email protected], all of sudden my account vanished and she called me to tell me just that without leaving me her name. It wasn't until calling back, that one of the other associates gave me her name and Miss Pa could't come to the phone. Originally, 'Pa' had told me that she pulled up other accounts under my name. No these were accounts were either old accounts that haven't been accessed in years or accounts that belonged to those no longer residing in this household.

The other ebates accounts were under my referrals names, but I was the designated payee due to the fact that I'm family and that I make their purchases for them. Example. One account belongs to my teenage daughter, who I often pay for her purchases, her father, who I often make purchases for also and has an account, my stepfather who designates me as the payee since I take care of the home, run errands and handle family business full-time, and another account for my mother who had also designated me as her payee because I took care of her full time for the past 3 and a half years until she passed away this year in April. I explained all of this to 'PA' and 'PA' coldly said I'm sorry. Well, the accounts were deactivated and no cashback will be administered. The only way to handle this is to get justice so that they don't keep doing this to other people like myself.

I will be making a police report as soon as I can get the rest of crew together to make statements, stating that they designated me to be their payee. That's another thing, Pa told me only friends can be designated as payees, not family members??? I'm sorry but even my friends are like family and pulling up the terms and conditions updated on May 22, 2018, it doesn't say state anything like that. YESSS, I DID MY HOMEWORK. This company will be reported also to The BBB, The FTC & The Attorney General's Office. I'm pulling all my bank records, as well as all of my e-mail & order confirmations and I'M READY TO GO!!! To those who don't understand what all the fuss is, we've been scammed out of not only hundreds, but thousands of dollars.. ~ And yes, I'm pissed

So for those out there, other than myself, who want to take legal action you may do so, but first file a police report, then file claims w/The BBB, The FTC & then follow-up w/The Attorney General's Office. Give them the following e-mail address that they gave me, [email protected]. It sounds like a sham, but whatever! Even more reason and backup that you have to prove that this company not only commits frauds, but also does calculating things to escalate your levels of anger and frustration. EBATES SCAM *

It's all above. They scammed me and several people close to me out of thousands of dollars and now we're figting back.

Once a loyal customer to the company, today, ready to take legal action w/no remorse. Tonight, I have class but Monday morning I am filing a police report and getting written statements from all other parties involved. If you want this to become a class action lawsuit, then that's exactly what it will be, but meanwhile, I need a direct name of your legal firm, the names of the attorney or legal team representing the company, your direct phone number and an extension where that party can be reached. This is not a game. I don't play games. No one plays when it comes to their money. If someone was in your pocket, would you just allow them to proceed in taking 'YOUR' money? Yeah, I don't think so. Most people just get annoyed, make complaints and just stop using the company altogether, but if nothing is done & no changes are made, companies just continue to screw consumers out of their money and no justice is done either way. I believe in justice. That being said, this all could have been handled reasonably and avoided if they would have just issued the cashback that was owed in the first place, but the company got greedy and now it's going to cost them even more in the long run. That was stupid, REAL STUPID. And if this is an actual legitimate legal representative that I am speaking to, you have to know that this is true. You're fighting battles for crooks and that for me is real difficult to respect. My legal team is one that is highly respected and known among many. They're brilliant, so be prepared! ~ Good day

The above was sent to their legal team because they scammed me and many others close to me out of thousand of dollars. Years ago, the company paid out until they became greedy and started stealing the proceeds, instead of issuing consumers their cash back. If anyone is interested in joining me and others I know, in a classaction lawsuit against this company, respond to my complaint and I will respond back.

This business is a JOKE. I opened my account 4 years ago. I shop online occasionally, so I figured this would be awesome to earn some extra money. I love incentives just as much as the next persom, so I took advantage of their referral program. I had my neighbor come over and create an account. I told her about how she will receive $10 & I will get $25. Awesome, right? Well she made her purchases, and we got our earnings. Three days later its taken out of our accounts, and we were called frauds. I emailed them, and they stated that I had multiple accounts. Mine, the referred email, and some email that I've never heard of. I email them back explaining what had happened, and wondered if my neighbor signing up at my house may have triggered something on the accounts. Again, I was accused of multiple accounts, and asked if I would like to consolidate them. Why would I want to consolidate my account with another account that isn't mine? It has been going back and forth for a few days now.

Ive explained the situation multiple times, yet they keep responding with the "multiple accounts" bull crap. If I made multiple accounts, just to get referrals, I would have accumulated more than $16 over a 4 year period. This company is a scam just to get people to sign up, spend money, and then take away their referral bonuses!

I have been buying stuff via ebates and only ebates site. I don't use any other site for cash back, since I used to use fatwallet.com, not they become ebates, I started using them since then. I always was getting cash back with no issues at all on any of the cash back I received, but most of them are in a few dollars to $10 maximum. However, I bought a cruise from groupon and went through ebates when they advertised 10% cash back on groupon after thanksgiving time. I never used any coupons as I know very well that will have issues in the cash back. Everything went well fine, I clicked ebates link for groupon and went there and bought. I can see the groupon showed up the items right away for $598 ($299 + $299). However, I didn't see anything on ebates. I waited for the second day, then I emailed them, they asked me to send all the details - waited for weeks, and now they denied this cash back sending the following details. Funny thing is other cash backs came through that are just a $1-$5 dollars same day/hour.

I am really frustrated how these guys can cheat customers like this. I am thinking they falsely advertise and show 10-20% cash back so more people buy through them, but pay all the small amount and don't pay the larger ones, so they can pocket larger cash from the merchants and give cents to few dollars to customers so they can come back for more until they do a larger purchase and find out the real ebates scam.

"Unfortunately, we are not able to add Cash Back to your account for the order from Groupon. When we looked into this order, we found that the order was attributed to another site that partners with this store. There are many ways this can happen. Here are a few examples:

· If you used a coupon or promo code that is not found on Ebates but found on another site, that site will be credited for that order.

· If you visit any other site during your shopping trip (especially other sites that offer rewards, coupons, or discounts), that site will be credited for that order.

· If you have a toolbar, plug-in, add-on, etc. installed on your browser (especially for other sites that offer rewards, coupons, or discounts), that site will be credited for that order. "

I now saw several complaints on these larger purchase scam from EBATES. Please beware.

I purchased an item through ebates.com not to long ago in hopes to earn some more cash back rewards, which is something we all hope to achieve when shopping for our family or self. Well I was under the impression that if I made a purchase through the site that I would get my rewards, only to be told to I was not getting my rewards because I used a gift card to purchase the item. This was not specified but only brought up after the matter. I was accused by there employees that I made numerous accounts to fraud them, which was not the case, then to top it off, I was shown an article stating that I was not going to be rewarded for my purchase because I decided to make my purchase with a gift card.. are you kidding me.. I had to purchase the giftcards, so its the same as cash. What if I didn't feel safe using my information through the site? Well that doesn't matter, they just wanted my card information. This site is dangerous and false advertising. Be careful.

I have used ebates for a long time now. They have a tell a friend promotion going on. I have signed up 4 people. The 4 people do not live with me, and they do not use their information on the web. So I offered to use mine and they can pay me directly while I use my credit card to make purchases for them. These are family members that do not reside with me but like within a 30 minute drive. I had the bonuses in my account and then they disappeared! I contacted ebates and they said that I cannot have multiple accounts, in which I explained who's they were and as to why we did it this way. I searched on the mobile app in the help area and the tell a friend area for fine print or stipulations. There were none pertaining to this! I emailed this Caleb guy back and his response today was that there are stipulations and copied what he found. I replied that these are no where on your mobile app and if they are enforcing these they should make them available on the mobile app. So not only was this a waste of time and effort in getting family on board to do this, they lie and keep fine print off of their mobile app! I find this to be false advertising and misleading. I am deleting this app and the account I have and the ones I made for family. Shading dealings and terrible customer service!

Ebates took me to a site to buy discounted basketball tickets. I never received the rebate or promised discount. When I contacted the basketball ticket site, they told me that they don't offer rebates or discounts. Ebates quickly took the link off of their website and I never got my discount or rebate. Not right. I have not used Ebates since then. False Advertising!!
