I just move into my apartment and discovered a thick and flea infestation.
I am currently parked infront of my apartment to have internet access and waiting 4 hours on Tuesday, July 24 @ 1:38 P.M UNTIL 5:38 p.m. so I can go back to my apartment after I decided to FUMIGATE.
I submitted my request to take care of the infestation yesterday Monday, July 23 and waiting for a fumigation technician/company to show up. Let's see how long does it take.
After 2 hot days on my new apartment and being bitten by ticks and fleas, plus all my bed and fabrics being contaminated. I decided to take actions.
I don't know how long will it take for the apartment management-technician to solve this problem, but I am becoming heavily allergic to fleas and ticks. Local anesthetic creams don't relieve the itchiness anymore, Claritin and Benadryl make me feel drowsy, can't take these anymore.
Decided to fumigate my apartment with harmful chemicals as my last resource. I will proceed with borax powder on carpets and spray area rugs with anti-flea spray.
When I went to the leasing office today and request emergency maintenance for the second time showing flea-thick bites on my calves and a glass container with death ticks and bites, the answer was they were doing everything possible to take care of this problem. I suggest to hire a fumigating company and submit the bill for reimbursement and management refuse that solution.
I will keep posting updates, this situation is ridiculous. I am a paying renter with a one-year lease agreement. I shouldn't have to deal with these issues.
I have work and studies due dates this week and can't concentrate in front of the computer, because bugs keep crawling on my legs causing uncontrollable itchiness.
