I was hired as a freelancer from a site called fiverr.com. I was hired by Ian Magley with EastMainCo aka Restaurant Buildrz. I was hired to complete some websites for the business. I spent 3 days doing the framework for each site I did.
As agreed upon before this project was started we had a conference call with myself and Mr. Magley and 2 of his partners. We agreed that they would provide the content and the videos. I am not a copywriter or do I know anything about their industry. We all agreed that I would use their clickfunnels account and a software product called funnel scripts for the content.
I advised Ian I would be sending over the scripts from the software and they fill in the blanks so funnel scripts would formulate the content for the sites. After I uploaded all the scripts to slack (there own software for communicating) I was then awaiting over a week for something back in the way of answers in the format of answers to the questions from the 5 I had previously sent.
In the meantime while I'm waiting on the videos and content they were suppose to give me, I added "place holder text" on the site I made and when the content came to me from them I would then replace the content I had used as place holder text with the new content from Mr. Magley and his team.
Then without any communication as to what I did with designing the websites, Ian Magley decides he wants to cancel the project and cut my agreed amount in a contract form to 50% ($200). I did not approve that. I felt I had completed 75% of the upfront $400. I was waiting on the details from them he advised me 2 of his people were working on them.
I strongly feel Iam Magley and EastMainCo knew that they could cancel anytime not have to pay and keep the work I completed.
I believe I was Ripped Off by Ian Magley and EastMainCo.
