Order a receiver with a $14.00 discount and was emailed a copy of order.
Got an email from them saying I needed to call them to confirm my order. Never had to call and confirm my order in all the years of buying products on the internet. Tried calling to confirm my order and gave up trying after 1 1/2 hours. So I emailed them to cancel my order saying I could not get through to confirm my order.
Got an email from them the next day of the copy of the invoice showing I was being charged the full price ($685.00) with no discount. I emailed them again to please cancel my order.
A grumpy guy from East Coast TVs called me the next day asking what was the problem? Why was I canceling my order?
I told him for one reason I tried calling for 1 1/2 hours to confirm my order. The other reason was I received a copy of the invoice showing I was being charge the full price with no discount.
He said I wasn't getting the discount because I was paying with a credit card instead of a check and it said so on the website.
What? I've never heard of this practice before and I couldn't find where it said that on the website. I said please cancel my order and he said he would take care of it.
Well he canceled my order from shipping, but still charge me $685.00.
My credit card company has been trying to get my money back for a month now with no luck.
I ordered a Sony 75 inch tv from them on 1/19/17. They sent me an email to call them to confirm my order. When I confirmed my order the person at the company tried to talk me into purchasing the same TV with a model B instead of Model A number, for about $400 more. I told him I wasn't interested. I contacted Sony and was told no such model existed, and that there was only one model.
East Coast Tvs said it would take 28 business days to receive the order. Today is the 32nd business day, and I checked their website. Their website had a lower price than I paid (by $120), and said the tv was in stock and was going to be shipped in 1 to 2 business days. I called them, and cancelled my original order, and placed the new order online.
I then received another email from them (Like the first time I ordered) telling me to call them to confirm my order. When I asked when I could expect the tv, they said it takes 28 business days. I don't know how they can stay in business---the good thing is they never charged my credit card.
I watched their business online with tv prices changing daily, and offering deals too good to be true. Called them three times. Tried to buy a tv after they emailed me. Tried to get 2% discount with wire transfer per their website. Hung up on me once, then told me we don't do wire transfers . Look at the bait and switchers on their website @eastcoattvs.com, and you be the judge. I am calling my brother in law the general of ATF, business fraud.
I ordered a receiver and a tv. The tv was a samsung 4k for around 1500 dollars. I could buy this tv local for 1700 but could not beat this price. Two days after I ordered and gave my credit card info some fast talking guido called me and said exactly what he tells everyone, I have learned
The tv I ordered is a lower quality 8 bit panel, BUT for 1750.00, only for me , I could have a 10 bit, because the quality of the 8 bit is no good. I told him I could get that tv local for that and needed it quickly. He said I would have it within a week AND he was upgrading my mount, sending it special shipping where someone will come inside the home and look into the box for damage. I told him that was rediculous. I left the order there because I had the receiver coming also.
He then said it needed insurance and talked so fast I could not understand him. I told him I did NOT want an 8 bit tv. My price on the receiver and tv went up over 300 bucks PLUS when I got my emailed receipt they charged me almost 70 bucks for insurance that THEY should provide since freight is "free".
I have since talked to two local tv salesman and they both quoted almost verbatim what this guy told me. They bait you with the lower cost, then call you fast talking and promising you all sorts of things, NOW I found out today my tv won't be here for at least 11 days and my guy could have had it in TWO. I am concerned now that it may not even show up at all. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY ...........ITS ALL SMOKE AND MIRRORS, BAIT AND SWITCH. The price will NOT be lower than your local box store........and once again if its too good to be true, it usually is. I have a brother who is a lawyer so if things go badly, legal representation is no problem.

Never buy from this site. They take the credt card and never ship the TV. They are a scam.
