I called East Beltline Towing located in Grand Rapids, Michigan and asked them to tow my vehicle to the dealership for service. After they towed it to the dealership, I left and went home. A few hours later, I received a phone call from the Grand Rapids Police saying that the tow truck driver had called them and told them that he believed that there were drugs in my car.
The police impounded my car and searched it. They found no drugs. Then I had to pay $180 to get my car out of their impound lot. All I asked East Beltline Towing to do was to tow my car and they ended up getting it impounded - for absolutely no reason.
Their job is to transport a vehicle from point A to point B; not to play detective and get peoples' cars impounded. The only reason I can think of for them doing this is to make more money by towing my car to the police station in addition to the $80 I paid them to tow it to the dealership. Beware of East Beltline Towing.
