On 6/11/2016 I contracted with E & V Construction to file construction permits. He charged me $4000.00 for all of the permits; Fire, Plumbing, Electrical and Building. I paid him $2000.00 upfront to get the floor plan and file the permits. He has been promising me since then on numerous occasions that he is working on it. Finally about 3 weeks ago, he claimed that the permits for Plumbing, Electrical and floor plan has been approved. He said he is now waiting for the Fire permits to be approved. Last weekend, on 8/28/2016 I ran into him at a one of his worksites and I asked him how things are going? He told me that he was ‘too tired to talk about it ‘, that he would call me later. I did not receive a call from him and he would not answer my calls. On Monday 8/29/2016, I went to the Newark City Hall to find what permits has been filed for my property. To my dismay, no permits have been filed up until that day.
All frantic efforts to reach him since then proved futile. I definitely need an Attorney help to STOP this crook.
