I saw an ad for a rv on rvtrader. It contained pics of the rv and a description of the rv. I contacted them and based on the ad drove 400 miles to see it. I liked the rv and left a 1000 dollar deposit with the promise by the salesman Barry Peters it would be ready in one to two weeks. He sent me an text confirming it. After over 3 weeks he told me the rv would be ready on wed coming up. I sent him a text informing him that we were coming to pick up rv as we discussed. We showed uo to discover the rv was in deplorable condition and filthy. The pictures they took for the ad were great and the info on the ad stated the rv was in great shape , low miles and pride of ownership was certainly visible, the RV looked good and sinced they promised we could pick it up in a short time we left the deposit.
Then the stall started i have all thier pictures and i have the pictures of the rv when after getting an appointment and driving 400 miles the rv was in shambles, it looked like someone had vandelized it. The rear tv and its cabinet was torn off the cieling, rear cabinet doors were missing, rear bedroom light was damaged, shower door frame was broken, and a bath towell rack was missing, the shower head was damaged, the refer wasnt working ,the microwave had been changed from a convection type to a regurlar one over 13 years old, i have a text where mr peters said he was replacing the microwave with a new one.
The washer dryer combo unit was not working, the kitchen sink was broken, the table between the chairs was broken, the cieling light was broken, the sat was inoperable, the vcr cd player was missing, the front tv was taken out and another one was laying on the couch, the rear camera was broken, the battery disconnesct switch was hanging off the wall, while we waited four days in a hotel mr peters told my wife she should have stayed in a cheap hotel to save money that way she could stay longer for the same money, some of the trim was laying on the floor, on the outside the porch light was broken, the dryer vent was broken, the rear storage door had a golf ball hole in it. Also the hydrolic jacks were not working, the rv was filthy from top to bottom, grease and oil spots all through the storage area underneath.
They said they would detail it when we put our deposit down but didnt. I am sure i missed somethings but this rv was a total dissaster. Based on all this we demaned our money back. They refused saying the paper i signed stated no refunds. The paperwork i signed was scetchy with no vin number. I tried getting the bbb involved but all dunesort really said is that i sined a no refund would you buy this rv after it was destroyed by someone, what else did they do to it, after i informed them i wanted my money back the mechanic informed me that the slide was broken. The mechanic called me and is no longer employed there. I wonder what dunesport may be hiding regarding this motorhome. All that is left is to take them to court. I do not recommend them for anything. Bieng a senior citizen and not knowing a lot about rvs was my downfall.
