I booked a hotel through Hotwire.com on 11/02/2016, for one night in Cleveland, Ohio, at the Drury Plaza hotel in downtown Cleveland. After driving
hundreds of miles and several hours, I arrived at the hotel and was told Hotwire.com sold 5 rooms to 30 people. A Drury employee told me I was being
'relocated' by Hotwire to another downtown Cleveland hotel. Instead, I was offered options more than 30 minutes/miles outside of downtown Cleveland. In addition, I was hung up on or disconnected multiple times by Hotwire.com, I spent over two hours on and off the phone with them. The employees at Drury did nothing to remedy the situation. Apparently it is common practice for this hotel chain to allow travel agencies to book rooms that are not available.
