HE SELLS USED DRONES AS NEW ONES! HES ALSO VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. HE SAYS HE FIXES YOUR DRONES BUT DOES'T HE IS A PHONY. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWARE!
This is only an attempt to make aware of the experience and loss I suffered at the hands of Zac Davis of Drone-Works.
First off, intial contact with Zac is super nice and very informative about what he can do, how fast his turnaround, and how he is so good that Rob from Drone Nerds send their Inspires to him to fix. He also stated they were over charging and that he could do a better job for lesser amount. So I think, Why not? Afterall, he knows Rob from Drone Nerds...Wrong! Here is when it gets interesting, I sent the Inspire to Zac for repairs, and as soon as he receives it he ask for the money through Paypal so I figure he is that good I will pay upfront since this is a super nice guy and he states he will be done with my drone in a few days...Wrong Again!! Feeling good about the transaction I decided to get my Inspire hydro-dipped afterall I was dealing with the best man for the job so I sent him my battery tops in addition to the Inspire 1 he already has on hand.
He shipped me back my drone, then the nightmare begins... I first I noticed my battery tops were not they new shiny tops I gave him to be painted they were used and actually two were rusted with one screw stuck in them both and then I noticed the pattern did not match the pattern for the Inspire 1 canopy the old bait and switch he did with me on my tops. When I asked him about it he said the tops will still fit on my batteries and they would be fine. Clue#2 That I was being screwed.
Now for the drone, upon intial inspection I noticed a few screws missing in and around my Inspire 1, I called Zac and discuss he excuse was his hands were not as small as the China men from DJI, Clue #3, something was not right with this Dude and a bit racist, Also, I notice one of the motors did not move as freely as the others, again this is all pre-flight inside the house inspection that I learned from a class I took from DSLR Pros Advance Flight with Inspire 1.
So now for the maiden flight, when I get outside and turned the Inspire 1 I get an error message, Esc issues and to turn off Inspire 1 and turn back on, if problem continues call DJI. I turned off and turned on, and they drone spun up, so I hover about 10M and notice that they motors did not sound as fluid as they did before I sent my drone in for repairs. So I landed it and turned it off I noticed, that the one motor that was stiff upon my intial inspection had stopped spinnig way before the other three did. I that point I texted Zac, nothing from him, so I called he sent me to voicemail. So I tried the drone again, I turned it on and get the same message ESC errors turrn off Inspire and turn back on. I did and powered it up, so I brought it back up 10M and still sounds like the motors were struggling so I landed it. Powered it down and agian noticed that the one motor stopped spinning before the rest. Now knowing it is a motor issue I go to start it up again for the third time I get the same ESC error message to turn off and turn on, this time it doesn't do anything just continues to give me the Error ESC message. So I this point know that this Zac Davis is not returning my calls or texts. I go to Paypal thinking I am covered through buyers protection I file a claim and what do you know minutes after I file a claim Zac calls me and says I am trying to scam him and the only reason I am getting and ESC message because I must have crashed it! Wow, really? I could not believe that I was talking with the same guy that intially told about all the happy customers he has and how my drone would be better than new. Instead this jerk off decides to blame me and not only that sent me back my drone not put together properly with missing screws and when I took it to a shop to take a look they confirmed he used parts that was from a drone that had been some serious water issues. I could not believe that I had been had from a repair that should have been real easy and quick that this dude not only put USED parts in my Inspire,(after he told me DJI ships he new Inpire 1 parts to repair drone) he does not stand behind his work and used poor craftmanship and unethical practices to lure customers in. I asked Drone Nerds about Zac Davis they did not know him and stated they do not and would never outsource to anyone!!
So again theft by deception from ZAC DAVIS and DRONE-WORKS!!
I pray that no one else will go through what I have and lose money like this again...Oh and PayPal was useless to getting this resolve.
Also since I reported him he has the admins from other groups in his pocket and they kicked me out of the forums so I would not reveal his poor service.
