The long and short of the story. I put a bad reveiw on Yelp 6 months ago after battling with Eddie via Texas BBB. I was not going to say another word, I was done until today when Eddie responded once again calling me a liar, slandering him, etc. etc.
Eddie Gallagher solicited my business by knocking on my door representing himself as Edward Thomas. Said a job was postponed because of a water leak and his boss said to get rid of the asphalt so you don't have to haul it back. He said he could make me a good deal. He said he was out of San Antonio. He was going to do the job at $2 sq ft. I asked if he could do it for $1.75 sq ft. He stepped away to call his boss. Boss says ok. They did the job in 2 days getting more asphalt from somewhere. Then he asked about seal coating which would bring my bill to $26K. I asked if he could do it all for $25K - said he couldn't, but instead of a 3 year warranty he would give me a 5 year warranty.
About 6 months later, I started having large alligator cracks in the lower 1/4 of 13K sq. ft. Contacted Eddie multiple times to fix alliagator cracks, he promised to come twice, of course it would be 6 months or so when he was in the area. I reluctantly agreed. Needless to say, the alligator cracks were never fixed. He did sent a guy have lit with an open container in his truck to fix some tracks my UTV had made in the asphalt about 6 weeks after install. Eddie has to be right!
Did some research on Eddie and boy oh boy. His testimonials on his website are FAKE, you can google the pics and they are used all over the internet. We have been fighting because Eddie has to be right, instead of just warranting the work.
I was told my contract was not real? Really, he wrote it out in front of me and another witness, there was no copy for him. His work is fairly decent he just doesn't warrant the work.
He accuses his customers that have issues of lying, slandering him, etc. and then threatens to sue you. Check reviews for chipandsealexperts.com on google, another man had issues and was treated the same way.
I have nothing to lie or slander about. I paid $26K for asphalt driveway which is a lot of money to me. I was given a 5 year warranty. I just wanted my work covered by the warranty. Problem is Eddie owner of Driveway Experts is based in Saginaw, Texas closed to DFW. It is 7 hours to where I live. It's nearly impossible to warrant work that far away. If I had know that, I would not have hired Driveway Experts. BEWARE FOLKS!

7/26/2019 - I would NOT recommend. Had $26,000 worth of work done and Eddie, Sole Proprietor, would not honor my warranty to fix alligator cracks. He will tell you anything to get the job, do the least amount of work, take the money and run.
My driveway is not even 1 1/2 years old and it has a ton of alligator cracks on the lower section and now starting to get more on the upper section. Check the UNRESOLVED BBB complaints. His testimonials are FAKE. He is a one man show with one right hand worker and hires contractors when he has a job, but wants to act like he's a corporation.
He is based in Saginaw, Tx where he lives. He has "virtual offices" in San Antonio, Dallas, Colorado and covers all these areas. This might be why he doesn't fulfill his warranty, it's impossible. Oh, but if he does do warranty, you'll probably have to pay more money to have it seal coated or something. He doesn't waste his time doing warranty work if there is no money to pocket.

I have 7 people that has been with me for at least 5 years and own all of our equipment nearly 4 million dollars worth I could file a corporation for $500.00 with the state takes about 40 minutes. Well I do To you had a big truck busted up the end of your driveway that wasn't covered under warranty and you know me or any other company wouldn't cover it and as a matter of fact you collected insurance for most of it and that's a fact. Ford trucks come with a warranty but if you run into a wall then bring it to the service center and want the damaged covered under warranty there going to tell you to get lost... o but what about the alligator cracks were you drove off edge oh you mean the ones that you lied about me sending my crew back out to fix until I sent the bbb proof then you remembered but I guess that don't count.
But you got it all figured out So cry your self a river build a bridge and get over it and maybe grow up why your at it. Call me and we can talk about you really should have been a lawyer or actually a public defender. You honestly have no idea what your talking about and all your investigations and lies is all a dream only truth is you found was im a sole proprietor and you found my uncles business in CO and my nephews Facebook.

If you had not solicited my business by lying, YOU probably would not be in this situation. Such a little man will not own up to the truth. Obviously, you don't have any education or your written English would be better. You stated your contract would have been signed by 2 officers of the company. Bad move little Eddie, a Sole Proprietor does not have officers other than you, another lie. Alligator cracks created from "me" driving off the edge, another lie Eddie. You cannot keep your lies straight. No, I have never driven off the edge of my driveway.
The alligator cracks are at the lower section of the driveway in the middle. The last section of asphalt down by the road has tons of alligator cracks, probably due to the last batch of asphalt being mixed with dirt. As for fixing the alligator cracks, never happened, another lie Eddie. Your guy came back 3 or 4 weeks after install because you told me it was fine to drive my UTV on the driveway and it made big tracks in the asphalt.
Your guy came back, half lit with an open bottle of beer in the truck to fix that part of the asphalt. There were no alligator cracks at that time, way too soon for them to develop, it had just been installed. As for your so-called uncle and cousins having a business in Colorado, another lie little Eddie. Back when I was trying to reach you, I called the number in Colorado and guess who answered...YOU!
On your own Facebook page, a friend of yours was asking - Are you going to work in Colorado this spring Eddie? Colorado had the EXACT same advertising, logo, etc., of course, you have probably changed it by now. Others have commented on the Driveway Expert Facebook page...CON Eddie.
Such a professional all the way around...LOL. You are always right....customers are always wrong, then you argue with the customers. My job was done in 2018 and you are still arguing with me. I have nothing to lie about Eddie, the TRUTH sets you free, but that is absent from your business model. It really gets to you that your BBB business rating dropped from A+ to an A due to my issue with you and it should have.
You sent out brochures "pretending" to be local, from Leakey, Uvalde, San Antonio - when in fact you are located in Saginaw, Texas 7 hours away. If you check the addresses on those brochures, they are either a FedEx drop off location, a UPS box location, or a little more creative, a virtual office as in San Antonio. It's probably good you aren't coming back to Leakey because the word has been spread in Leakey, Camp Wood, Uvalde and others what an unscrupulous business man you are.
These small towns have honest and hard working Christian people, we sure don't need some like you around scamming for business. Let's see, you called last summer wanting to send me some money to fix the driveway IF I would remove my BBB complaint. Bribery Eddie? I don't want your money or anything to do with you.

I never sent any post cards to Leakey with a fed ex office in Uvalde I have never advertised being from Uvalde. The lower portion of your driveway was busted by a large dual wheeled truck it's not my fault and you know that. And if I was there I would fix it. And I have jobs to do in all those towns you are claiming to have slandered me in I get calls every day Literally down there I'm just to busy to go there and that's the truth.
So spread what you want and slander me because I can sew you by Texas law for defamation of character and slander and sew you for money lost due to that so I hope you do. I would recommend staying AWAY from DRIVEWAY EXPERTS! Find someone reputable. Just looking out for others so they are not scammed into a job.
