I got a call from Drive for Cash. It was a real person and totally a scripted conversation. I had one call before and asked to be taken off their list, but they keep calling. So, today I called back Sydney at Drive for Cash 57 times. I told her the first time I wanted her cell phone number so I could call her at an inconvenient time with information she didn't ask for or want. She hung up. Then I called back 56 more times and told her I was going to make sure I tied up her line and make it inconvenient for her to scam anyone else. She simply says, thanks for calling and hangs up. But you can hear the frustration in her voice. It shouldn't be this much fun to irritate a scammer, but it is.
I was interested in using a company that connected people with advertisers to put decals on cars. Basically you allow them to use your car as a moving billboard. The name of the company listed on Job Alerts website was Mrkt Pop (all caps). When I clicked on the link it took me to another company named Get Paid To Drive (try.getpaidtodrive.co/zip-1jt/zip_code) where they ask if your vehicle is newer than 2009. They then start asking where you are and what you drive. Then they prompt you to set up and "account" where they get your personal information. A statement appears saying that to verify your account you need to click on the link on the email they sent. So far pretty innocuous.
But the email they sent was for an auto insurance quote site called Advertise On My Car - Cheap Auto Insurance Coverage with an email address of [email protected]. Bingo, note the misspelling of "help". I clicked on the link anyway thinking that I could bypass the ad for insurance. Nope. They ask for all of your personal infomation with no mention of a link back to Get Paid To Drive.
If you see this site or any of the ones I have listed do not proceed. They are scamming for personal information. They go by several names: Mrkt Pop, Get Paid To Drive, Cheap Auto Insurance Coverage, Advertise On My Car. Cheap Auto Insurance supposedly has a mailing address of PO Box 425768, Cambridge MA. No phone number listed. Get Paid To Drive has a mailing address of 443 N University Ave, Provo UT 84601. No phone number listed.
I received call 8/29/18. It wasn't robo caller but they had my name and I never applied so I picked up and then immediately hung up after giving the person calling me a little silence. Scam

First time they gave a name and named the company and said they basically would like us to use our car and drive people,,, You have a car was a quick first question and then a really quick,, hold while I direct you to our supervisor or someone for more info,,,,, I said not interested and hung up...... Got another call today from a 318 area code and he said Hi, my name is Ales from Drives for Cash,..... I just hung up.... I normally don't answer area codes I don't know or answer calls from people who's name comes up and I don't recognize,,,,,
