The Television ads are so-o-o convincing, and the promises from "a Medical Doctor" seem so real...and, then, you get sucked into a scam.
The TV ad and website promises you a "Trial package" of products for only $39.95 (plus tax) and claims it's 70% off...but they never say off of waht price (mathematically, it would be a product price of $133!).
What they DON'T tell you is that you have just signed a contract for future shipments. The first will be shipped on the same day, one month later, for $53.99...without your express permission, charged to your credit card. But, you only have 30 days to try the product, and return it if yor not satisfied, so even if you can't stand the product, they will not refund your original $39.95 (plus shipping).
This is a widespread scam among Shopping Channel and other "paid advertising shows" on television: Get you to pay for a "trial product" (which probably isn't any good anyway), and then HOOK you on with unexpected shipments in a period shorter than the putative "Trial Period." (I have previously posted of another company doing the same thing, based in Canada).
If the offer looks too good, and the product too perfect, then be suspicious. This is the SECOND time in three months in dealing with these kinds of scammers, and each time I've had to have my credit card replaced (at the insistance of my bank), just to stop these bogus charges from popping up again in the future.
Finally, ALWAYS USE A CREDIT CARD. Your liability for these kinds of bogus charges is limited by law...but corporations and banks made sure that protection was prevented from being applied to your DEBIT CARD. Use your Debit Card, and you're on the hook for any charges that get made, whether you authorized the charge or not.
