I bought a pair of Dr. Scholl's inserts after visiting their kiosk at a local drug store. The inserts cost over $50, which I thought was steep, but I figured the $10 rebate would help defer the cost. I sent in the rebate form, adhering strictly to the instructions. Three months later, I still had not received my rebate. I checked the status of my rebate online and also called Dr. Scholl's. They said they did not have a record of my request. Unfortunately, I did not make a copy of the form, so I guess I'm out of luck; the person I spoke to on the phone said that according to their terms and conditions, they are not responsible for misdirected mail. That's kind of fishy, because I did have my return address on the envelope.
In any event, I'm very suspicious that the Dr. Scholl's rebate is a ripoff.
