Dr. Kalodner was the court appointed child psychologist who was referred to me by my divorce attorney.
I had to go to court twice to get the opposing parent to take our child to see her and it took at least three months for the first appoijntment to be scheduled due to refusal to comply by the opposing parent.
Dr. Kalodner charges $250 per 40 minute session.
After the first session with my child she decided she loved the abusive parent. She loved this individual because he/she brought her a Diet Pepsi to the therapy sessions.
Dr. Kalodner accepted a cash payment from this parent in exchange for her cooperation in writing letters to and from the court about the mental and emotional health of our child, and what was and was not in the child's best interest.
My child used to cry in the car on the way to the appointment with Dr. Kalodner because he/she knew that this "therapist" would tell is/her abusive parent everything that was said in the "therapy" session.
This was a horrifying divorce that ended nearly two decades of physical, psychological and emotional abuse and this woman sided with the abuser.
Dr. Kalodner took the child into a small room where she couldbe alone with him/her.
During one session she encouraged my child to scream at the top of his/her lungs for forty minutes, which I had to redirect when we got back into the car. My child was a wild maniac after this session and it took me being very firm with him/her to calm down and stop screaming.
During another sessions, Dr. Kalodner oinked and had my child oink for 40 minutes. Again, it took at least an hour after the session to calm my child down.
During another session Dr. Kalodner howled and had my child howl for 40 minutes. This is the nightmare my child and I had to endure for six months while these court ordered sessions went on.
The sessions were ordered directly as a result of the abuse that had been occuring in the home since before the child was born, and when I pushed for this therapist to see my child, I truly believed that this person would have the best interest of the child at heart and try to help as this divorce proceeded but that was not the case at all.
I paid $200 per 40 minute session for this riduculous nonsense. This was an insult to me. I play with my child, but I care about the emotional turmoil that was occuring in this child's little heart and Dr. Kalodner did not care about anything except for her $200 check.
I could hear everything through the door. Never did she address the real issues of the abuse in the home. Never did she address the issue of the toileting issues my child had had his/her whole life due to extreme anxiety from possible sexual molesation by one of her parents.
I paid $200 per session as she have me a "discount," but on one occasion she deposited two checks at the same time and the last deposit she made, she deposited three $200 checks that I had written her the oldest of which was nearly four months old. She held these checks for months and then deposited them all at the same time without even warning me.
My checking account was slammed twice by this poor excuse for a child psychologist.
It is months past the divorce and my child continues to have flashbacks of Dr. Kalodner smoking her vape pipe during the sessions.
He/she has flashbacks of Dr. Kalodner telling on her to her abusive aprent for the things that were said in the sessions.
I had the exact same experience! I knew it was happening, but couldn't prove anything at the time. (It appears to be the same time frame) Then my child's father/abuser gave my child his old smart phone with ALL of the texts between Dr. Kalodner and himself. Yes, a complaint has been filed. There were not only those messages, but ALL of his other messages. Not good to give to a child.
