My family and I have been going to here for almost 20 years.
We were told from the begining and reminded every time we needed Nitrous that it was not covered by Aetna Dental, and we had to pay cash out of pocket.
I recently learned when my daughter switch dentist, that is is covered and has been since atleast 2010. When I notified Dr. Vagnozzi's office they called Aetna and found out that it is covered.
The problen now is that Aetna will only reimburse them for the last 27 months. As for all the rest of years, she said she will not be returning any more of my money. She stated that it is my responsablity to know what Aetna covers. And she feels she gets to keep all the rest. I would have agreed to a lesser amount but she has never picked up the phone to contact me.
I whenever I did get Nitrous the bills for that were over $100.00 each time.
And this doesn't include my wife, daughter and step-daughter.
If this is an honest mistake, then when you find out the truth, you need to make things right with your patients. When you tell me your not giving anything else back,I feel that is stealing. And imagine what this would add up to with all her Aetna patiets. When I spoke with them this week 6 weeks later,I asked if she has contacted her other Aetna patients, she said no.
Please help me to notify all her Aetna patients to make things right and not allow her to keep our money.
