On or about 7.19.2022, I went to Dr.Christian Head’s Office at 2780 Oro Dam Blvd, Suite 2 in Oroville, CA, 95966. Dr.Head, told me that I need to see him again in order to perform a neck scan that should detect any abnormalities inside my neck, since I told him that I previously saw another doctor in regards to this same issue and therefore my discomfort did not go away since then (meaning 2019, I believe was the time frame in which I saw a previous neck doctor).
Anyway, the front desk lady and Dr.Head’s nurse then scheduled my next appointment on 9.6.2022, and therefore I returned back to his office on 9.6.22 day, let alone that on 9.2.2022 at or around 16:57LT, I received a phone call from the Oroville Hospital in order to confirm my coming appointment with Dr.Head for the 9.6.2022 presumable neck scan, and which I did acknowledge that coming appointment over the phone on this upper mentioned date of 9.2.2022, including confirmed it too as the lady asked me too. So, I went to my Dr.Head scheduled appointment of 9.6.2022 at 13:30LT here in Oroville California, and therefore I signed the front desk waiting list in order to acknowledge my arrival. For my surprise, (BEING the second time type of incident), is that I was waiting at the front desk lobby for more than 1:30 (one hour and 30 min), while seeing numerous other patients that came after me and having later appointments too, but which were called in front of me, and which I started of getting very uncomfortable and impatient with such disrespect and rude treatment bottom line, since not only, that should have been inappropriate no matter how I am looking at, but also ridiculous while one after one patients were getting called in but me, while my appointment was already passing, minute by minute. Moreover, while I waiting for so long, and kept checking with the front desk rep when I suppose to go in since more than 1:30 min passed, and I was still waiting, let alone that as a courtesy I arrived earlier just in case there was any needs for any paperwork to be filled, but which was not necessary since they had everything, then these ladies at the front desk were keep avoiding of calling me in too for my appointment. Lets, just assume that since I arrived earlier, then that should not count, and since that was my polite way of being in time, then the unexpected happened, which was, ALL the patients that were in the lobby, and the ones that arrived way after myself and my appointment scheduled time, then they ALL, went in, and then out too, which was astonishing and totally disturbing to keep seeing that, bottom line. I looked at the waiting list and many of these individuals were having appointments after my scheduled time, such as 13:30LT, but for my surprise, then ALL of them went in, in front of me. After all that waiting at the lobby, then I finally got in, so one of the Dr.Head’s nurse invited me in. Now, while I was in, then I waited ANOTHER 45 minutes until the Dr.Head finally managed to see me, meaning coming into my waiting room. I was more than upset and infuriated, seeing all that disregard, reckless behavior that was very strange to begin with, and totally unacceptable in my opinion, seeing all that I just explained here so far. I also want to emphasize one more and VERY important thing, and that is, my file or my paperwork for my visits, (BOTH), meaning the one from 7.19.2022 and the one from 9.6.2022, were sitting on a lobby desk away from the basket of patients that were waiting to be processed and invited inside in order to see their doctor. So basically two incidents repeated in order to delay my doctor visit time, just for no reason, bottom line. Now, while I saw my paperwork being separated and detached from the waiting order, then I start to suspect that they were doing that intentionally, in order to make me wait longer and therefore probably make a “bigger” insurance claim in which my doctor-visit required more time and more medical attention, if that is anyway how the doctors get paid overall, as being one of their tricks that some doctor offices engages in, in order to claim a bigger charge most likely from the patience insurance, without any doubt, in my opinion, since I don’t see why, I was forced to wait for such a long period of time in two different occasions, meaning on 7.19.2022 and on 9.6.2022, for almost an hour and half, while numerous other patients that arrived after me were called in and in front of myself. On the other hand, while I was inside the doctor’s office (on my second visit), meaning on 9.6.2022, then as I upper stated above, then I waited another 45 minutes in order to talk with the Dr.Head, which that was also even more infuriating anyway, but when I finally had the chance to speak with him, meaning Dr.Head, then he told me for my surprise, that unfortunately the Insurance Company, meaning “Blue Shield”, declined to approve my CT neck scan procedure, for whatever reason. Ooops! Wow!!! What???… So, I drove almost 1 hour (one hour) to my doctor appointment from Olivehurst CA, being my home address, to Oroville Dr.Head Office, and then the Dr.Head and his nurse, apparently were “shocked” to find out or knew most likely that my insurance did not approve this CT neck scan procedure, but let me come in anyway, saying: “ohhh, we don’t have the approval for your scan”.. Excuse me???… What?? Then why in this world after more than a month, in between these two appointments, meaning 7.19.2022 and the 9.6.2022, then we just find out that my insurance refuse to pay for such necessary procedures since this discomfort in my neck got worse and worse and therefore I have difficulties swallowing food, but apparently my doctor decided to let me come in regardless of such declined procedure, just to have me go through his daily schedule and then charge me and my insurance???.. How about, that, should have been verified and checked prior for me to show up to his office and therefore told me over the phone to reschedule my appointment at that point in time, until I have the proper approval, and then have a different appointment rescheduled, so that my visit should not be considered unnecessary for what I suppose to see the doctor, not just tell me after more than 2 hours of waiting, and one hour drive one way only, so, that sorry, we screwed up.. I specifically explained to the doctor that, IF I knew that my CT neck scan procedure was NOT approved, then I would have NOT come in, let alone driving for NO reason 2 hours back and forth to my house, spending money in gasoline too, let alone wasting my entire day, too, bottom line. Now, on that same moment, while Dr.Head seeing me upset, then he said, quote: “I am not going to charge you and your insurance, so that is on us”..unquote, as I recall his own words.. Well, no kidding!!, seriously??… Of course I should not pay for that doctor visit since his office and the front desk screwed up but went ahead with the appointment in order to charge me and my health insurance company Blue Shield, I was thinking myself, and with all due respect..that would have been even more incredible and infuriating IF that would have been the case, I was thinking at that time too. I said, quote: “Okay”, but next time (meaning my next doctor visit) please lets make sure that, this next time, this CT neck scan is approved before I have to drive all this way and come in again”..unquote.. He said, quote: “yes, of course”..unquote if I recall his own words correctly.. At that brief exchange with Dr.Head and seeing 2 (two) front desk reps, being present, meaning on 9.6.2022, then I returned to the front desk once again after a brief walking out of that lobby, and approached the lady sitting right at the front computer and/or counter, so I told her that I had a previous visit here (meaning at their office), and I would like to pay my $20 co-pay since this visit, meaning 9.6.2022, it is going to be waived per Dr.Head recent front desk statement of course, since his office really screws up, big time, and of course therefore trusting him definitely, then I did not even imagine that could become an issue later on, since I thought that he might have some dignity and professionalism considering these unbelievably inappropriate and unacceptable circumstances of course, let alone that was embarrassing to be quite frankly, meaning go ahead with the appointment but in the end there was no need to come on and see the doctor since Blue Shield insurance would not cover the expenses, bottom line.. I would have never imagined that Dr.Head and his staff, would go to an unbelievable extent of breaking the laws and actually committing insurance frauds in my opinion, therefore ignoring me and my dissatisfaction, based on their horrible misconduct and messed up overall unnecessary doctor-visit that should have been avoided in the first place and therefore NOT charge me for unnecessary visit, since there was NO reason for me to still come and see him (Dr.Head), on that day of 9/6/2022 at 13.30LT, since my insurance did NOT approved such procedures as I uppers stated, but which Dr.Head and his staff went ahead and charged me and my insurance anyway, disregarding his previous comments and decision of let that inappropriate charges be on them, due to their own mistake, since that was their messed up of course, but since they decided NOT to pass such opportunities in order to make money from me and my insurance, then they decided to ignore their presumable “ignorance” and went ahead with the apparent scam, while continuing to behave in such inappropriate behavior and commit an insurance fraud in my opinion, bottom line, since I don’t see why would they do any of that in the end. Now, after all this time, for my surprise, then I have not received ANY bills from his own office at all, but that change on 10.4.2022, when I received a bill from “Orohealth Professional Group” I would assume, while that print appears to be on the top of this page/copy that I received, and in which document I can see 4 total charges and/or doctor visits that I went through, but in which only 2 (two) of these were at Dr.Head’s office as I upper mentioned. The other 2 (two) visits mentioned in this bill, were with my own separate physician that I have, and also performed, and which now this latest horrible experience of 9/6/2022 with Dr.ahead have nothing to do with any of my own separate physician’s visits at all. Anyway, the front desk lady at Dr.Head office said something along these lines, such as, quote: “If you know your amount that you need to pay, then you can pay it now, or wait for the bill”..unquote.. I said, well, I have $20 co-pay, so since I have been here one time before then I assume that is what I owe you guys, I said back then. But, then I said, no worries, I will wait for the bill, and walked out, going back home on that moment. So, today 10.5.2022 at or around 9:10am, I decided to call Dr.Head’s office and inquire about this recent bill that appears threatening since it is apparently: “The Final Request for Payment”, like I was notified so many times in the past and never want to pay any of me “share” that I owe, etc. I explained to Ms.Tracy, if I recall her name correctly, and told her the whole story. She said, that she needs to speak with Dr.Head and inquire about this incident, saying that she will contact me back. Apparently, she never did. However, then in the mean time I decided to call at or around 10:40am the number that appears to be showing on this “Final Request Bill”, and spoke with Ms.Latoya. I explained to her everything, so then she said, it appears like someone (meaning me) talked to us, (meaning them), about “you” (meaning me), just recently, and “your” (meaning mine) account, it is locked. I said, excuse me??. I never talked to any of you guys, and matter of fact this is my first time calling this number. Then I explained once again the whole story to Ms.Latoya one more time, so that she can have an understanding from where I am coming from and why I am frustrated.. Ms.Latoya, apologized to me and appears genuinely apologetic with me and with my overall experience.
Ms.Latoya, documented everything and said that she will escalate this problem with her superiors, but in the mean time I asked for my remaining balance to be settled right in that moment, minus the illegal charges of the last visit of Dr.Head, of $226 I think it is, and with that my $20 dollar co-pay that was associated with the illegal charge visit from 9.6.2022 at 1:30pm. Meaning that, out of my whole bill of $696-$407.52-$208.48, then the remaining amount that I should pay myself was $80.00-$20.00=$60.00.. So, basically, since I had 2 (two) visits with my own separate physician, at a different location, then the other 2 (two) charges should have been with Dr.Head, out of which only one should be legit and pay my share of $20.00 co-pay, since the other visit (meaning 9.6.22), was the visit that they screwed up and ignore or intentionally went ahead and let me come in just to be able to scam me and my insurance apparently.. Meaning that my final bill should be adjusted in the end to $60.00 total left to be paid by myself, and which she (Ms.Latoya) transferred me to a different representative and which charge my Credit Card while I was mentioning to Ms.Latoya that I want to settled with this doctor office this bills, and therefore I will never go back again over there, after I pay my $60. The paid transaction went through, besides Ms.Latoya, made some notes on her end and therefore stated that she wrote something in which the account should be settled and therefore the charges of extra $20.00 should not be required anymore, basically something along these lines if I recall her exact comments, as well as stating that if I receive any more bills then disregard them, but stated also that if I need to call back then I should asked for her, since she knows the whole story.
Now, since I want more confirmation and assurance that this problem will not get more complicated later on, and since the letter appeared “threatening” while adding additional bold comments like threatening me with collection and negative consequences for me, then I called her back, and asked her for some email as an assurance of our talk and that I should not have to pay the other extra $20.00, due to that messed up incident, but in which I already made her aware that I will make a complain about this fraudulent insurance frauds activity, since this office was in my opinion a little more than reckless and totally ignorant when it comes to such prohibited activities, in my opinion. Bottom line is this, why, should anyone, let alone a Doctor, will go to an extent of making assurance remarks and statements saying that “I” (meaning Dr.Head) will not charge me and my insurance for such mistake (of course of their part), ignoring the fact that they should have checked for my approval request prior to have me come in, therefore they should have NOT even let me come to the doctor’s office until all that was already settled with my insurance, and on top of that then let alone that they have someone contacted me on 9.2.2022 at or around 16:58LT in order to confirm the coming appointment for 9.6.2022 at 13:30LT, basically knowing that my visit would be unnecessary at all at that point in time, but let it go through anyway most definitely in my opinion, basically going ahead with the scam. But, since NONE of that perhaps required on their part “research”, was even remotely inquired accordingly, as necessary and appropriately by this doctor’s office or nurses, or the front desk, etc, prior for me to come in, then that infuriated me even more when I was confronted with this illegal charge of $226 for that visit from 9.6.2022, and which I should not be responsible for ANY payment at all, let alone, that, I waited almost over 2 hours total if I recall that correctly, and which they should have made me aware prior to get in and see the doctor and which I was not supposed to be there on that day since my insurance declined the procedure, bottom line, and as being the final rescue for such unacceptable and inadmissible mistake or reckless behavior of going with the lie and let me wait, as well as have me pay the bill that should NOT have even been issued or created at all, let alone that the Dr.Head reassured me on 9.6.2022 that he will NOT charge me and my insurance company after that mistake of letting me come in without having any CT neck scan approved.
Very astonishing and very disappointing as well as disturbingly wrong and illegal in my opinion, bottom line. That is a pure scam, no matter how I am looking at, period, and in my opinion too. Allegedly, based on my conversations and interactions with Dr.Head, then him and his staff apparently decided to go ahead and change their mind, but without telling me at all. Basically, let me wait for all this time, until 10.04.2022, and then threaten me with this “apparent Final Request Payment Letter” that come from their Billing Department, in one day, and pretend that was the Final Payment Request, so that I would NOT question their itemized items added to my bills, but expected me to pay it immediately and settle such presumable “late” bills. I decide NOT to fall for it and I am here describing this experience as being horrible and unacceptable, as well as an insurance fraud in my opinion, therefore, I want to report it right now in this statement, once again, and after I already sent almost similar statement earlier. Moreover, as of 10.17.2022, then I receive another following bill, basically reflecting the same issue and illegal charges that this Dr.Head is pushing in order to get it from myself and my Blue Shield company, while sending once again this fraudulent bill that they want me to pay, meaning the $20 co-pay for this illegal Dr.Head visit of 9.6.2022, summing to $226.00 while charging illegally my health insurance out of which $20 separated charge is my fraudulent $20 co-pay part as I upper stated.
Just unbelievable...bottom line.. I personally consider this tactic as being a pure scam and should not have place in any society whatsoever. I made a separate claim against this doctor's office named Head Christian to my health insurance too, since I considered to be unacceptable and totally disturbing practices just to rip me off in my opinion, since this place have no dignity and no integrity whatsoever also in my opinion, disregard any consequences that they could face for such medical bill scam pretended to be legit, but down the line appeared to be most likely not only unethical but also illegal, while these scammers knowingly go ahead and pretend to be entitled to get paid for services that they did not deserve to get paid but billed my health insurance anyway, due to greed and reckless behavior.

I said, excuse me??. I never talked to any of you guys, and matter of fact this is my first time calling this number. Then I explained once again the whole story to Ms.Latoya one more time, so that she can have an understanding from where I am coming from and why I am frustrated.. Ms.Latoya, apologized to me and appears genuinely apologetic with me and with my overall experience.
Ms.Latoya, documented everything and said that she will escalate this problem with her superiors, but in the mean time I asked for my remaining balance to be settled right in that moment, minus the illegal charges of the last visit of Dr.Head, of $226 I think it is, and with that my $20 dollar co-pay that was associated with the illegal charge visit from 9.6.2022 at 1:30pm. Meaning that, out of my whole bill of $696-$407.52-$208.48, then the remaining amount that I should pay myself was $80.00-$20.00=$60.00.. So, basically, since I had 2 (two) visits with my own separate physician, at a different location, then the other 2 (two) charges should have been with Dr.Head, out of which only one should be legit and pay my share of $20.00 co-pay, since the other visit (meaning 9.6.22), was the visit that they screwed up and ignore or intentionally went ahead and let me come in just to be able to scam me and my insurance apparently.. Meaning that my final bill should be adjusted in the end to $60.00 total left to be paid by myself, and which she (Ms.Latoya) transferred me to a different representative and which charge my Credit Card while I was mentioning to Ms.Latoya that I want to settled with this doctor office this bills, and therefore I will never go back again over there, after I pay my $60. The paid transaction went through, besides Ms.Latoya, made some notes on her end and therefore stated that she wrote something in which the account should be settled and therefore the charges of extra $20.00 should not be required anymore, basically something along these lines if I recall her exact comments, as well as stating that if I receive any more bills then disregard them, but stated also that if I need to call back then I should asked for her, since she knows the whole story.
Now, since I want more confirmation and assurance that this problem will not get more complicated later on, and since the letter appeared “threatening” while adding additional bold comments like threatening me with collection and negative consequences for me, then I called her back, and asked her for some email as an assurance of our talk and that I should not have to pay the other extra $20.00, due to that messed up incident, but in which I already made her aware that I will make a complain about this fraudulent insurance frauds activity, since this office was in my opinion a little more than reckless and totally ignorant when it comes to such prohibited activities, in my opinion. Bottom line is this, why, should anyone, let alone a Doctor, will go to an extent of making assurance remarks and statements saying that “I” (meaning Dr.Head) will not charge me and my insurance for such mistake (of course of their part), ignoring the fact that they should have checked for my approval request prior to have me come in, therefore they should have NOT even let me come to the doctor’s office until all that was already settled with my insurance, and on top of that then let alone that they have someone contacted me on 9.2.2022 at or around 16:58LT in order to confirm the coming appointment for 9.6.2022 at 13:30LT, basically knowing that my visit would be unnecessary at all at that point in time, but let it go through anyway most definitely in my opinion, basically going ahead with the scam. But, since NONE of that perhaps required on their part “research”, was even remotely inquired accordingly, as necessary and appropriately by this doctor’s office or nurses, or the front desk, etc, prior for me to come in, then that infuriated me even more when I was confronted with this illegal charge of $226 for that visit from 9.6.2022, and which I should not be responsible for ANY payment at all, let alone, that, I waited almost over 2 hours total if I recall that correctly, and which they should have made me aware prior to get in and see the doctor and which I was not supposed to be there on that day since my insurance declined the procedure, bottom line, and as being the final rescue for such unacceptable and inadmissible mistake or reckless behavior of going with the lie and let me wait, as well as have me pay the bill that should NOT have even been issued or created at all, let alone that the Dr.Head reassured me on 9.6.2022 that he will NOT charge me and my insurance company after that mistake of letting me come in without having any CT neck scan approved.
Very astonishing and very disappointing as well as disturbingly wrong and illegal in my opinion, bottom line. That is a pure scam, no matter how I am looking at, period, and in my opinion too. Allegedly, based on my conversations and interactions with Dr.Head, then him and his staff apparently decided to go ahead and change their mind, but without telling me at all. Basically, let me wait for all this time, until 10.04.2022, and then threaten me with this “apparent Final Request Payment Letter” that come from their Billing Department, in one day, and pretend that was the Final Payment Request, so that I would NOT question their itemized items added to my bills, but expected me to pay it immediately and settle such presumable “late” bills. I decide NOT to fall for it and I am here describing this experience as being horrible and unacceptable, as well as an insurance fraud in my opinion, therefore, I want to report it right now in this statement, once again, and after I already sent almost similar statement earlier. Moreover, as of 10.17.2022, then I receive another following bill, basically reflecting the same issue and illegal charges that this Dr.Head is pushing in order to get it from myself and my Blue Shield company, while sending once again this fraudulent bill that they want me to pay, meaning the $20 co-pay for this illegal Dr.Head visit of 9.6.2022, summing to $226.00 while charging illegally my health insurance out of which $20 separated charge is my fraudulent $20 co-pay part as I upper stated.
Just unbelievable...bottom line.. I personally consider this tactic as being a pure scam and should not have place in any society whatsoever. I made a separate claim against this doctor's office named Head Christian to my health insurance too, since I considered to be unacceptable and totally disturbing practices just to rip me off in my opinion, since this place have no dignity and no integrity whatsoever also in my opinion, disregard any consequences that they could face for such medical bill scam pretended to be legit, but down the line appeared to be most likely not only unethical but also illegal, while these scammers knowingly go ahead and pretend to be entitled to get paid for services that they did not deserve to get paid but billed my health insurance anyway, due to greed and reckless behavior.
I asked Ms.Latoya to have one of her supervisors contact me, but that did not go anywhere apparently since NO one contacted me as we speak, let alone that they should have sent me a message confirming that this unnecessary charge of $226 for the 9.6.22 visit should have been cancelled and therefore I would NOT have to pay any $20 co-pay myself in the end. Apparently, they did not care and went ahead with the entire scam and charge my health insurance in th end after all these calls and complaints that I made so far, while my health insurance personal account that I have with Blue Shield showed this transaction as being completed and that I still owe $20 co-pay for the illigitimate doctor visit from 9.6.2022 at 1:30pm that should have NOT take place since there was NO procedure approval Signed, Marian 10.17.2022
