Dr. Chinyere Lawrentia Okeke once married her cousin, falsified federal forms, lied in an Interview with the feds, all to gain U.S. citizenship, which apparently is no problem for the Nevada Medical Board and presents no issues with moral turpitude, I suppose.
· Nigerian Chinyere Okeke is a medical doctor – an M.D. Dr. Chinyere Okeke is a board-certified family physician in Las Vegas, Nevada. She is currently licensed to practice medicine in Nevada. She is affiliated with Mountain View Hospital, Spring Valley Hospital Medical Center, and St. Rose Dominican Hospitals - San Martin Campus.
· Dr. Chinyere Okeke also is registered with the DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) and is licensed by them to prescribe prescription medication (highly controlled substances) to patients.
· My question is, how can this doctor be trusted to dispense medicine, who has a DEA license, yet lies to federal officials about her status in the U.S.? Dr. Chinyere Okeke came to the U.S. from Nigeria, where she was born in June 1971. How do you trust someone with DEA licensing who marries her cousin under false pretenses to obtain U.S. citizenship, then gets a divorce, then lies to federal officials about her marital status to continue her efforts to obtain U.S. citizenship, which she eventually received?
· She was under federal indictment for, among other things, providing false information on her Application for Naturalization (USCIS Form N-400), which asks you to certify that you have been a lawful resident of the U.S. for the past three years, AND that you were married to and living with the same U.S. citizen spouse for 3 years, AND that your spouse has been a U.S. citizen for the past 3 years.
· The facts, as outlined in the indictment, are that:
On July 18, 2001, Dr. Chinyere Okeke married a man named Ernest Madu, who just happens to be her blood cousin.
On April 5, 2004, less than 3 years later, Dr. Chinyere Okeke and Madu filed jointly to have their marriage dissolved.
On April 23, 2004 the Second Judicial District Court of Nevada entered an order dissolving the marriage and granting a divorce.
On March 11, 2005, almost a year after her divorce, Dr. Chinyere Okeke filed her Application for Naturalization (Form N-400) stating that her responses on that form were true and correct.
On Aug. 2, 2005, Dr. Chinyere Okeke was signed the Form N-400 certifying her responses on it were true and correct and was interviewed, under oath, during which she stated she was still married and living with Madu, which was not true. They had been divorced for more than a year. Based on her written answers and testimony under oath, CIS (U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services) approved her application to become a naturalized citizen of the U.S.
On Sept. 9, 2005, Dr. Chinyere Okeke took the Oath of Allegiance of the U.S. and was admitted as a citizen of the United States, Cert. No. 28585140.
· As a result of her actions, Dr. Chinyere Okeke was indicted for violation of presenting false information on her immigration application, making a false statement under oath related to her immigration application, and unlawful procurement of naturalization to become a U.S. citizen.
· Dr. Chinyere Okeke is a highly educated woman, earned her MD, and yet falsifies information to fraudulently become a naturalized U.S. citizen.
Most people, including her patients, don't know anything about this.
· If this is the kind of moral compass she has, doesn’t this call into question how she practices medicine, treats her patients, and obtains further medical treatment for them, including prescription medications?
How do you trust a woman like this? Who knowingly provides false information in an effort to obtain U.S. citizenship? If I were one of her patients, I’d have to wonder what kind of a moral compass Dr. Chinyere Okeke has towards the practice of medicine and the treatment of her patients.
