I went to pay my bill on line so I would not be late. I typed in Southlake Utilities, Inc and up popped pay bill at https://www.doxo.com/info/southlake-utilities-inc-fl. I never received anything from Southlake that that was not their company. I paid them and it said they will have my account credited on 01/22/2019.
After I paid the notice on the receipt said a check will be mailed to Southlake on the 01/14/2019. On Monday I received a letter from SouthLake that I was late in payment. I immediately sent them the receipt of the credit card payment. The record on the account when I logged into the account said Southlake received the check as of yesterday.
They claimed they didn't and now has me scheduled to either pay them again or have my water turned off as they have done to other people to charge them with a turn on fee as well as a late fee. When I first moved in they charged me for 1 week $114 plus late fees. The owner of Southlake is the owner of the Rental unite I am in and has in the past turned water off in the entire community because of "leaks" from construction companies trucks that backed up and hit the pipes underground.
And everyone had to pay in service charges for the fixing of the pipes when they raised the water usage for a month. The meter is in the apartment and it is electronically remote and possibly can be turned off from an outside button. I was told I am going to be charged a late fee even though I paid DOXO.com I wrote them asking why a late fee after I paid their company who takes their credit cards for them and they claimed this directly from their email.

Mrs. Miller,
Thank you for your email to Southlake Utilities, Inc regarding your bill. Southlake Utilities is not affiliated with Doxo, with whom you submitted your payment through online, in your picture attached below. Doxo.com is a third party payment processor, that has mimicked our website to get people to pay their bills through them, instead of the actual Utility providers website.
Doxo does not electronically submit your payment to us. They take your payment and then Doxo will mail us your payment through the United States Postal Service. So the late notice you received on Monday is correct, because we have not received your payment in the mail from Doxo and your account is currently in a Past Due Status.
If you would like to make a payment through Southlake Utilities Payment Portal in the future, please use the following link https://www.southlakeutilities.com and click on “Customer Login”. Payments made on our website hit your account immediately, when the payment Is approved and our service fee for payments online, is a minimum of $2.75 for bills under $90.
We also suggest Bookmarking or Favoriting our website in your browser for future reference, so that this error does not happen in the future. Please be advised, that no action will be taken on your account at this time, since you have shown you have submitted payment.
If they had "Mimicked" their logo and their site why haven't they pressed charges for Intellectual Property Theft/Piracy with the FBI or local inforcement agency's. If they new about DOXO.COM why didn't they send a letter out to everyone not to use them or have that printed on the bill. I believe this is a scam to charge extra money to residence here.
If you pay them on line they only add $2.75 charges. DOXO.com charged me $3.99 . According to my bill when I went to fast payment they plan to turn off my water after 3 days of a late payment. This is a scam. Which of the following were used in this incident? agencies may desire copies of pertinent documents or other evidence regarding your complaint.
