Its a shame that this happened because the food was fairly good, BUT on my 3rd time eating at Dos Sabores, I was charged more on my credit card than what I signed for. While my dinner and tip was $7.50, $9.50 was charged to my card and reflected on my statement. What made it even worse is that my friend who paid separately with a different card was also overcharged!
After receiving our statements, my friend and I went into the restaurant and asked to speak to the manager. He was mostly nice and receptive. I told him we were charged extra and asked to see the receipts. He explained that he doesn't keep the receipts because there is no office and they are taken home. I told him that was fine but I would be back the next day to see them. When I returned the next day the manager had and showed me my receipt, which confirmed the total was $7.50. He blamed the overcharge on the credit card companies, saying they are the ones who charged me extra.
I replied that there is no way that they would have done that. I know from my experience as a server that you have to individually enter each receipt. While the entry should match the receipt, you can enter anything. I told the manager that this couldn't have been an accident because it happened to both me and my friend. Rather than correct the problem, he kept insisting I was wrong and claimed there's no way his waitress could have done that. He then said, "Oh what, its only a dollar, it can't be that big of a deal." I said "It's not about the money! It's about how your server is a liar and a stealer!". Arguing was fruitless, so I contacted my bank to resolve the issue instead. The funny thing is, if you look under their google reviews, there was a customer who tipped $10 in cash and they added $10 onto the credit card tip as well. This has happened to multiple people!
