Don Weir's Reno Dodge Ram Fiat Reviews

  • Feb 1, 2018

My now wife and I needed a vehicle.

We went to Reno Dodge in Reno, Nevada.

She wanted a manual car because we lived in the North Shore of Lake Tahoe.

We wanted to have an American brand car that we could afford on a minimum budget.

After the draining of the sales process in the dealership, we left with a 2015 Dodge Dart Aero. We are not flashy people and like easy finances. 5 miles down the road the car engine seized.

(This is a brand new car purchased in 2015. 3 years of headaches, arguments and sleepless nights has finally beat my pride into submission to post and warn people. I apologize to those I could have swayed then.)

We called them, 7:45pm, and they said have it dropped off they are leaving.

Now on the side of 80 until a tow truck showed up, 8:45-9pm. We returned the car and drove our Jeep home.

We told them we needed a car to drive. They said I wouldn’t be there in time.

The very next day we told them we did not want the car that it must be a lemon and how they treated us in a time of distress.

They threatened us and told us they would drop the broken car off in our driveway if we don’t take the new vehicle they offered. We told them we didn’t want it. They told us they will just update the VIN on the approval.

There was the finance manager standing in the doorway and Mo is a large man sitting in front of us. We felt trapped.

They called us 4 days later to come get the car. We told them we don’t want it. They sent the salesman to our home with the car and contract.

The finance manager had advised us he needed to the boost the income on the new application, while the salesman was standing in our living room, we, figuring it would make it null and void, called Chrysler to get the loan reversed.

***The salesman presented the contract not a bonded finance manager***

Before we even had this contract signed by us they had already funded the first vehicle.

Chrysler said they couldn’t help. We had to pay for it.

The dealership said it was already funded so we are owners.

Because the finance institution and the dealership made us believe there was no other options

In distress we reluctantly signed and then the next set of heartaches began.

P.S. To add insult to injury, they crushed us with a 13% interest rate when we had 680 fica scores.

The payment book came in with $490 payments.

We tried to trade out of the car.

The car was $10,000 negative the day it was delivered to us.

Since then, the car’s clutch has went out three times. The pcv valve blew out and threw oil everywhere. The speakers have gone out and had to be replaced. We have been in a rental more than our car. We tried lemon law however because we moved from one side of the country to the other we had too many miles even though it had been to the service departments of Reno, Carson City, Denver, Stateboro and Jackson Ga.

***All this was warranties after what seemed like 100 phone calls***

Our car is in almost perfect condition.

We now cannot afford this vehicle 3 years later.

This $490 payment has driven my wife to tears everytime Chrysler calls.

Today Chrysler called and told us to try and trade it in because we keep on the of repossession.

This again adds insult to injury.

Is there anything I can do?

Yes inform you where not to go.

We have done our duty as responsible adults and paid our bills.
