I sent in the total amount of $5,000 requested by daniel domenick to obtain modification on my mortgage loan. For over two months i constantly asked when the forms for loan modification would be sent? I ended up loosing my house and the $5,000 sent to daniel domenick for never doing any work for me!
To write all that went wrong would, I'd have to write a book. The bottom line is that I blew right at $15K before firing Domenick Legal Group (DLG) and felt I was being charged $2,300 an hour or more for DLG's service at times, or should I say, no service.
First, don't fall for the Sales guy's pitch at the beginning. I dealt with Jeff Thompson. He goes through and puts in writing DLG's process, top ten mortgage servicing abuses, etc. The bottom line is that he presents not only will you get your legal fees back, but you will recieve money from your lenders for damages. All pie-in-the-sky stuff that doesn't exist. All I wanted was a loan modification or short sale.
DLG does very little work for you. I asked a ton of times for paperwork showing what work DLG did for my account. It was often promised by Daniel Domenick to get that, but never and I mean never was it given to me.
DLG had me fill-out the wrong forms, which only slowed down the process two months or in the their terms, created $5K in revenue with that tactic alone.
For two months I received a weekly call saying that my file had not moved from the short sale department to the modification department. I talked to Daniel about that saying based on that, I am paying about $2,300 per hour for your service. He agreed saying let me check in to the accounting and said I'd recieve a credit or refund, which never happened.
All parts were bad, but this was the worst, I ended our relationship, and put a stop payment on what DLG was taking from my account mothly, and they still figured out a way to withdraw the funds even with a stop payment. I had to close my bank account because of that and thank goodness I did because the following month they tried to withdraw funds again.
DLG did little, very little and that cost me $14,450 for six months for no results. When I handled it myself, I got a decision in six weeks, which would have been four week, but it was during Thanksgiving, X-mas and New Years.
Daniel Domenick is not right for praying on people at risk of losing their home. If this has happened to you too, contact the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania to file a complaint and stop him from doing this to others. Personally, I think he will be out of business soon.
Contacted Disciplinary Board. Took almost 1 year for it to go all the way from suspension to being being disbarred. Still no financial restitution and it's been since February when he was disbarred. Justice moves slow.
