I was sent an email (sent from the contact form on my site) from this scammer stating that I had 3 days to renew the registration for my domain as this was the "final renewal notification." First of all, I've never received any previous notification regarding my domain, which is already registered with GoDaddy until next year. I clicked a link within the email which directed me to the scammers website. I collected info such as the address, email and phone number. I sent an email to the one provided on site and made a phone call to the number listed.
Upon calling, I noticed it rang about 3 times before an automated voice stated the person at the extension (imaginary) was not reachable. I called back 3 more times before getting voicemail, on which I started to leave a message but I decided against in the middle of recording it. I then called again and a man answered the phone. Once I told him why I was calling, he mumbled something and put me on hold with elevator music but the line was disconnected a few seconds later. I called back again only to get an automated voice. I hang up and called twice more time before the same man answered again. I addressed why I was calling once more.
The man then told me that the number I had dialed was for a health insurance company to which I asked "So why does your number appear on a site for Domain SEO Service Registration Corp?" He simply said it was someone trying to use the company as a front for a scheme. Not once buying his explanation, I simply hung up. I had gotten my confirmation. Thank God for making me smart enough not to fall for this pathetic scam. I will be reporting this to the Federal Trade Commission ASAP!
The email suggests to pay this amount to avoid domain cancellation. Their English semanthics raised a red flag, so decided to check it out. I am glad I did

A fraudulent Company tried to extort a fictious payment of what they said was an expiring domain. Upon researching I noticed your website had multiple complaints about this fraudulant internet/Domain company. People were also asked to pay the same amount, 64.00 and they all were with GoDaddy, as well. Everyones memberxhip was up as well. Thank you for being there.

This company sent me an e-mail, claiming that my domain name registration was about to expire, and that I needed to pay them 64.00 to renew it. I confused the domain name issue with the fact that my site hosting was about to expire, and thought it was legitimate.
I made the mistake of paying the charge with my credit card. Then I started looking at my records and realized that my domain name is registered through Go Daddy, and is still good for two years. I checked with them, and learned that this "Service Registration Corp." has no affiliation with them, or the authority to be involved in my domain name at all.
This transaction occured on 1-6-2017, and their "transaction ID" # is: 58702b5f52607
The website they named in their e-mail to me is www.dncorp.org, but it does not seem to exist online.
