They don’t work when they said they will, they ask for money before preagreed time. When Skip pull “no show cards” on us right on beginning we wanted our money back and have him gone. (We gave him check $4000. 2K for pool deposit & 2K for material.) He asked for another chance and we continued by switching from “prepaid” to “post paid” terms demanding material to be delivered AM! That was another mistake!!
He never delivered any material! He made hole in ground WHERE and WAY he wanted then tried to force us to accept it! Before he finished digging he started assembling panels. Whole pool was 8” higher then my house slab! That will bring all water inside my house!!!! He clearly spent material money elsewhere so 3rd day when I 3rd time demand material to be delivered he demanded $4K for pool digging and walls setting that wasn’t even near completion.
Walls setting concludes: leveling and squareing panels, staking them to ground and 6” x18” concrete foundation around them. I took him to Monroe court.
Magistrates Maggie Truslow dismisses case saying “he dug the pool”, not ordering him to return money. She didn’t bother to explain why she entitled him to keep security deposit when he left job nor why she wouldn’t ordered him to deliver our material. Be aware Court in the small City has it’s own rules! Spoke with attorney and it will take another 4K to recover my4K!!! We hired another builder to lower pool and finished. New company is much better, they have postpaid method on top of it I have to chase them to pay them!
