I have been ordering from Doheny for years now. Over the last couple of years there service has declined. They continue to receive orders, but fail to advertise there inventories are nil. I have called to inquire, only to find out then that the item(s) are on backorder. When ordering, their website clearly states the item will ship within 24 hours of receiving the order.
The last item I purchased was a pool pump (1.5hp), a Doheny pool pump. It only ran approximately 3 months before giving out. I inquired about a return and their policy is they will send you a call tag to pick it up at their cost if it's within 3 months. So I was forced to ship the pump at my expense for a replacement. I am nearing 4 weeks and no pump as of yet.
I continue to call and complain only to learn the pump is on backorder and the date continues to move out. Currently we have a backorder date of 4/20/2022. I am not confident they will achieve this date either. My pool is getting greener by the day. I have requested the possibility of an alternate pump; they will not pay any difference in price and secondly many of them are not available (backordered) although, check the website and this is not reflected. Vicious circle.
Then they also informed me I cannot have a refund since it's a replacement. I would love to have my money for the pump and shipping for the defective pump so I could go elsewhere. I have a feeling I will end up doing this anyway.
