Bad apartments, bad customer service, will make you wait all day to resolve a problem, but always (3 times) say we cannot help.
I travel a lot. A lot. And in addition to traving throuogh 85 countries in 5 years - i stay in kiev, ukraine very often.
Amazing city and usually the experience is good. Sometimes not perfect, but always seem to find companies that have good customer service and will quickly solve problems. Hotels.com, priceline, expedia, airbnb, orbitz, etc)
But that is not what you can expect from "dobovo.com" or from companies they are in businss with: rentapartment.Kiev.Ua and they also run another company called partnerguesthouse.com. Guessing they would have same process.
It's winter here, and even if you tell them "in advance" - don't stick me in a cold apartment They would give me the keys in evening and then close - so no way to correct problem. They will do it anyway. I was left with a very small soccer ball size heater for a large apartment. Froze my butt off all night. Tried to sleep with a hairdryer keeping warm under blankets.
This is not a problem of kiev or the building. They have no heat properly heating apartments. And the hot water heater also does not work.
So - yes, they screwed me for the night. But - things happen. No one is perfect, not even me. So i went to the office then next day at noon and said - i don't want your frozen apartment again for any more nights. I will pay for the one frozen night that you promised me it would be warm. But i want a refund for the other nights.
The response? No. No cancellations. No refunds.
