DLO Media Corp. in Santa Monica, led by CEO Danilo Lee, took over $11,000 of our company's money and delivered nothing. They promised a refund but never paid it. Danilo Lee now tells us that his marketing firm is failing and he cannot afford the refund.
Out company is Open Book Ben, LLC. We have worked with many marketing companies and ad agencies over the years. Marketing is hit or miss. And we go into every new marketing firm relationship with optimism, but realism. But this experience was something else. Danilo and his team did literally...nothing. Not a single campaign. Not a single deliverable. No even intelligent responses to our emails asking them to describe what they thought they might do. It was a black hole. And they conceded as much and promised to give us or money back.
Soon after hiring them, Danilo's marketing "pros" barely speak and write competent English. The firm seemed very disorganize. Several employees we dealt with seemed to lack any higher level marketing skills. And our product and company is complicated! Upon reflection, I am not sure they even took the time to understand us well enough to effectively help us. Some of Danilo's employees seemed very low energy and information.
