This was my first step into producing my own music. I had to start somewhere and would come to regret this. I did a few searches for audio interface and came up with this website. I chose a unit and for the next couple of days did some research on it. The company looked pretty solid so I bought an interface with my last paycheck before getting layed off during the covid lockdown.
I noticed that amazon had the same thing on their site for $30 cheaper but it was already on its way. I couldn't get the interface to work with my software so I told them about this. They wanted me to keep it but after working with it for a few weeks told them I was totally disatisfied. It just wouldn't work, wasn't my fault.
They charged me a restocking fee that was brutal and wouldn't give me my money back just store credit. They complained about the cost of the mastercard fee (which is roughly $2.50 ) which they had to recoup! I told them I didn't want store credit. Nope, Dan the owner or whatever didn't care. So I had to buy something else. I covered all shipping so literally this company was in the black with this transaction don't know what he was complaining about.
So I bought a slightly more expensive interface to see if it would do a better job but I really resented it. I had to fork over the difference after paying more for the initial interface so it gouged me more. I walked away from this transaction to just let it sit but no sir, after a month or so I'm still so pissed about it.
I think "restocking fees" are the worst cash grab a company can make, Djgearcanada.com didn't really care they just wanted my money and for me to move on. Very, very few companies don't have a return policy. I felt djgearcanada didn't really want to deal with me just take my money and for me to move on.
Hated the experience.
Hope you find somewhere safer and cheaper to spend your money.
