Disney Reviews

Before I get the vehement defenders of the Mouse, please pause and really read.I have done the Magic Kingdom 17 times total in my life.

Some experience were better than others. This will be my last visit. This isn’t my first Disney rodeo. I do my research.

Non-peak crowd day, check. Reservations in advance, check. Anticipate even low crowd day long lines and delays, check. Do rides break down sometimes, yup they sure do.

In today’s climate, do we need security, bag checks and metal detectors, yes we do. None of these were very troubling. Even cost for premium parking, 40 dollars is worth it. So.

Why am I complaining? I won’t say Walt is rolling in his grave. No one cares and it is said constantly. The bottom line of this review/ complaint, and no I do not demand a refund, I am no more or less important than anyone else.

I have just outgrown it. Yes, I waited in long lines. Only road 4 rides the whole day. Saw no characters.

Due to labor laws, of course they are not out like Disney of the 80’s. Not gonna moan about that. What appalled me and why this is my last visit: Have nothing against the disabled. I was smacked into by 2 different scooters.

Ok, things happen. I saw no less than 5 different children PLOWED by scooters. This is now a trend. Scooter demolition derby with human targets and Strollers bowling people over.

Screaming, vulgar people willing to heel spike a 4 year old to get literally 2 inches closer to destination. Foul language. Tired, understandably grumpy staff. Rude “I want it now “people.

Garbage overflowing on Main Street. Dirty bathrooms. Body odor in cramped place. A pregnant woman standing on the monorail, when 3 perfectly able young men and women sat.

Im female and I stood so she could sit. Just plain ugliness of the crowds. It dawned on me, my epiphany, I just paid a whacking big bunch of money, planned for months in advance, to go to a glorified shopping area filled with rude people with the greedy gimmies. Some of this is on Disney.

Standards have dropped. The park used to have a dress code. Now, you can count the pubic hair in pants so tight. The park used to be pristine clean.

Not anymore. They can’t keep up with the crowds. Foul language used to get you quietly reminded not here. Not anymore.

Yell as foul as you want. Little kids, and their wonder at everything used to be fun to watch. A 4 year trucking through, smiling and enjoying. Now, that four year old gets smacked, stomped, hit in head with purses, bags, scooters, other strollers.

It is a shame. So Disney, yes it is your fault you dropped standards in behavior and cleanliness. It is a money maker, always was. Maybe it always was like this and I viewed it through rose tinted eyes of extreme youth.

(I’m 35 now). And I don’t blame Disney for not caring about complaints. They won’t get my money again, but there are 50,000 people just in the last hour whose money they did get. I just choice not to spend money on lower customer service, very nasty behaved crowds and the privilege to shop for over priced items.

It just isn’t for me anymore. My only request of Disney, which let’s face it, no one cares , or should, is bring back the making people accountable for their behavior. Make a human traffic flow with scooter lane and stroller lane if you must. If staff see someone blurting out foul words, or plowing down a child, ask them to leave.

Hell, cite someone for throwing trash on the ground. You are a township with your own police.

Use it.Ok, let the trolls and the “how dare you’s “begin!

Disney rewards awards you points for purchasing their movies. It takes time, money, and effort on your part to log in and enter the codes. I did this for a few years accumulating points for my children. I added a new code this week just to find that the 2200 points I had before are no longer on my account.

No problem, I contacted customer relations and let them know that my points are missing.

Apparently they changed their terms and conditions some time back because they regretted to inform me that my points had expired due to inactivity over 210 days. I had last entered a code in August, 2016. And, "to prevent your points from expiring in the future, please make sure that you add or redeem points at least once every 210 consecutive days."

I replied letting them know that I had a rough year and that rewards points were the least of my concerns at the time. I asked that they or someone of authority reinstate the points. They refused. The best they could do was to help me in cancelling my account and ensuring that I would receive no more emails from them. They then wished me a magical day.

Now that their rewards program is a joke I recommend redeeming your points before your life becomes more important than the free movie you could have received.

Get out or be disappointed.

Originally, the Disney College Program promised one position to my daughter then changed positions.

She received harsh treatment from a supervisor in the position finally offered her. He threatened to fire her within weeks of her beginning the position.

I felt compelled to speak with an executive about the harsh treatment.

Thereafter, my daughter worked diligently and reported working even on holidays.

She rarely had a chance to visit home.

Also, they offered no Thanksgiving dinners; imagine my surprise.

I drove to visit her many times; I did meet with her half of those attempts.

I continuously called to be certain she was doing well.

She returned phone calls within long spans of time. I assumed she was working and concentrating on the job.

Imagine my surprise when I received a phone call saying she was fired.

Apparently, they had no intention of her working there for such a long period of time. She worked there for several years.
