I brought my car into Discount Tire to have all four tires replaced. After dropping the car off, I received a call that they were having trouble getting my lug nuts off. I told them they shouldn't have any problems as I had taken the lug nuts off on all of the tires during the prior weeks since I had spent the prior four weekends at DIYCave in Bend, Oregon replacing the suspension on all four corners. Each time I used the garage at DIYCave, I had taken all four wheels off without issue. So, prior to going to Discount Tire, the lug nuts on all wheels had been removed and replaced several times without issue.
I received a second call that three of my lug nuts had been stripped by the Discount Tire staff, and the front wheel had a lug nut that they weren't able to tighten back down. They gave me my car back with several lug nuts that are stripped and can't be tightened back to spec. And this was how I had to drive my car from Discount Tire. This is dangerous and unacceptable.
Discount Tire responded to my BBB complaint by phone and stated they would reimburse me for their employees' errors, however they have not responded to follow-up emails or calls requesting reimbursement for the dangerous acts of their employees.
I've been a customer of discount tire for over 20 years. Every tire I ever bought was from them. About a year and a half ago discount tires sold me a warrantee for a run flat tires on my BMW. I paid about $250 for the warranty. Since then I've had the tires rotated twice. I got a screw in one of my tires somehow. I went in to get the tire replaced and I was informed by one of the consultants that the tires were in fact not run flat tires and they did not fit my vehicle. After 30 minutes trying to figure out what he was going to do he informed me that they never should have sold me a warranty for those tires and they should've advised me that they did not fit my vehicle. The manager Justin Kimpenski actually made me feel like it was my fault. They offered to refund the price of the warranty and have me purchase new tires. To me this is on except a bowl because I bought a warranty for my tires and it's like they wanted to Welch out on servicing my tires. They wouldn't even rotate them even after they rotated them two times before at another store. I have always received good service from discount tire and I don't want to paint the entire company as bad. However this location has some serious issues with customer service. I wouldn't advise going here unless the manager was replaced. Choose another store. This is the worst experience I've ever had as a customer at discount tire. Needless to say I won't be using this store again when I replace my tires. If I can give them zero stars I would.
Went and had 2tires replaced they told me my inter tire rods were bad and need to be repaced so i said ok .had to go back the next day because they put cheaper tires on my car.they put the right ones on it then .four months leter i went and had my oil changed and tires rotated some where else they told me i needed to replace inter tire rod i told them i just had it done they took me out to my car and told me that as rusty as my tire rods were they had not been changed
I went to America's Tire to fix a flat back tire (Free Flat Tire repair). The worker there asked me if I wanted to purchase tire insurance with America's Tire for about $40, for all 4. I refused then let them fix the flat tire. As I left the location, I heard a clank coming from my car.
The next day, my tire was completely flat. Because it was late when I saw the flat tire, I had to bring the car to America's Tire the next day, and they pulled out a huge metallic blade that was inside my tire (which was the same flat tire as the first time). They then told me that it would cost $130 to change that tire, as well as to include the tire insurance previously quoted.
They told me that if I purchased the tire insurance the day before, this problem would have been solved for free. They told me that if I purchased their service, It would have been solved for free, but if I did not, would I have to receive a huge metallic blade (that is not anywhere outside on the street) in my tire? The blade was in a way that is impossible for me to have just ran into it in the streets, the way it was positioned as well as the fact that it is inside a back tire, not a front. It just does not make any sense.
I went to Discount tires to change all 4 of my bald tires on my Caddillac Escalade. These guys cracked my 22 inch chrome rims while staging my suv to put on new tires. I confronted them with the cracks made on all rims they said it wasnt going to affect anything . Next day i take it back to them because im losing air. They said it was becuase sensor is bad. So i changed ALL 4 SENSORS. Still losing air i bring it back and they say its because of weather so the air pressure will go down. Back and forth to discount tire I had enough and called corporate. They then change two rims and said ill be okay. Sure enough im still losing air pressure going back and forth to discount tire making appointments after appointments waiting hrs after hrs for them to tell me thiers nothing wrong with the tires that they are slowly leaking because the crack in rims . Months and months goes by all i can do is topp tire off everyday now because cracks have gotton worse.

I use to love discount tire and vouched for your stores but after today Im taking action.I bought the top of the line tires from what they said from your store and it they said they were insured and i didnt have to buy anything else. They didn't mention at all about any other insurance. I even believed I ask but I'm not 100% positive. Then earlier this year my tire just went completely flat after driving less than a block. So I took it in and they said there was crap on the rim. They cleaned it and ensured me there's nothing else wrong with any tire. They fixed it and I was very happy. A couple of days ago the same thing happened and I took it in. Almost 3 hrs later they called, my phone automatically records every call so I have proof of the whole conversation.first they said the tire was not repairable cause they were installed wrong. Then they said it wasn't insured cause I didn't purchase the tires from them. Aprox 10 min later they found out that I did purchase them from them but I didn't buy the insurance.I told them if you guys installed them wrong you should be responsible to fix them. He put me on hold then came back an told me there isn't proof of them working on the tire.then I said I was there a few months ago with the same problem with that tire. He said he sees no proof of that then I told him I'll bring him the reciept. He then put me on hold again then came back an said he found the record of me coming in but now he's saying they werent installed wrong and now it was cause there's no proof of the tires being rotated. They were constantly keep on making up excuse after excuse and changing there story.every time i caught them lying or changing there story they put me on hold. This was just a few of the lies and story changes they said, so it will fit in this email. I really don't mind paying for a new tire but what there doing is wrong. I'm really upset about this cause they use to be my favorite tire store and was always happy doing with the buisness. I'm pretty sure it was the manager doing all this and not the worker cause he was being honest at first and I heard the worker talking to the manager while he kept putting me on hold. We were both being polite to each other and nobody was rude.I have the whole conversation recorded which shows them flat out lying and keep changing there story. This needs to be handled. Nobody should be getting this kind of buisness.if it wasn't for the recording I'll be another ripped off customer.I really prefer not taking legal action but this is wrong!
