My grandmother and I signed a leasing contract in the month of October with Dina Shaddix who works for an apartment complex called Crestwood Manor located in Little Rock, Arkansas. My grandmother's car was stolen from in front of our apartment door early one morning in April 2015. We were in the apartment when it happened sleeping. We were so upset and afraid that we had to hurry and move somewhere safe. We didn't want something even worse happening like our door being kicked down and Lord knows what else. We then moved in the month of May. We gave management sufficient notice to make her aware that we were leaving. My grandmother then agreed that we would pay the lease buyout fee which was one months rent. We had cleaned the apartment throughly and it was ready to be occupied by the next tenant. The assistant manager called me and stated that the apartment was acceptable. The next week the manager called me and stated that she would not be accepting the payment arrangements that we agreed to. She wanted more money which was not stated in the contract. I tried to make several attempts to contact the owners and she refused to give me their information so that I could explain to them my situation and to give me time to pay said amount. In the month of July, I checked my credit and she reported an extremely large amount of money which was three times said amount. ATTENTION CONSUMERS: DO NOT LEASE FROM THESE PEOPLE. FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO CALL HOME!!THEY WILL MAKE YOUR LIFE MISERABLE AND RUIN YOUR CREDIT. THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS!!
