I bought software (Password Recovery Bundle 2018) to recover a password from my eMail application. I ran the program and it said the password was 7 digits, but they could not tell me what they were, since my Password Recovery Bundle was only a 'trial version.' They said I would have to purchase the software - which I had already done, for $31.47, in order to find out what the password was. Ripoff.

Purchased cloning software that never worked from the start. Sent complaint to company (Digital River) who began suggesting I try different repairs. Tried some but none worked. Finally told them I did not purchase their software to function as a test bed for their product shoddy product. No help here. Sent request for refund of $44.95 paid thru PayPal who said they would review situation. Next got msg from PayPal that they denied my request for a refund.

End result: PayPal got their cut, Digital River got their money, and I've got NOTHING! I will be very careful to not use PayPal anymore, certainly not for these types of purchases...and I've been a member of PayPal since their beginning when they were giving new members $5 when opening a new account and another $5 when recommending new members who joined PayPal.

Final warning: PayPal will side with the fraud company if it means they will have to give up their cut. Sad situation when companies become this powerful on the internet.

5 charges appeared with in 3 minutes of each other for 100.00 each. I never bought a single item from any online company they process transactions for. I suspect someone used a skimmer at an ATM I used and then has an epayment system with this company. They need to do a better job filtering out scammers and not let people put in card numbers manually any more. The card I used had a chip on it. If they allowed someone to manually enter the card number for a chip enabled card, they violate best practices for card security and invite and support CC fraud. Calls to their office have been unanswered.
