STAY FAR AWAY!!! I don’t know where to begin. Thankfully I have kept all my text messages as well as emails from Diesel Speed and Marine so I can verify our conversations. I first contacted him on May 19th 2015 about rebuilding injectors. His website said that rebuilt injectors were $1,000. On 5/21/15 he told me that he gives a 25% discount for veterans of which I am and the rebuild charges would be $1,250 and also a $640 core charge. On 5/22/15 he said that the injectors were done but he wanted to bench test them for quality control. He said that they would go out on 5/25/15. On 5/30 he still hadn’t sent me an invoice or the injectors. I know that there was some bad weather but the mail still runs. He claimed that the computer was down. On 6/1 I received an invoice from PayPal and paid them. He assured me that the packages would be shipped first thing in the morning. There would be 2 packages. One with the injectors and 1 with other parts and instructions. I received 1 package on 6/6 no instructions or sealant. He had waited another day to ship and didn’t send me a tracking number. He claimed that the second package went out 2 days later. I never did get it. On 6/12 he claimed that my package was in KY but as soon as he got it back he would send it. On 6/13 he assured me that he had ordered parts to replace the ones that got delivered to KY by mistake and he would overnight them to me. On 6/16 he said that he dropped off the package. On 6/16 he said that he tried to call the post office to get the tracking number but they didn’t answer. They were probable closed because of the flood. So I called the Post Office and they answered and said that no they were not flooded. By the way I\'92m a retired letter carrier and you get a tracking number when you send the package. I bought the parts locally and put truck back together. I drove it for about 10 miles and it ran good. I hooked up the trailer went 2 blocks and POW. Smoke poured out the back and it made a bad knocking sound. I put the scanner on it and # 2 injector was bad. I found out later from him that it needed to be broke in for 500 miles before I pulled anything. Although this was never relayed to me as I didn’t get instructions. He said that he would send me 2 rebuilt injectors. Well I had to leave so I would work on it when I got back. He then told me that he wouldn’t send out the 2 rebuilt ones until he received the cores so I sent them out on 8/1. He said that he got the injectors and would mail out the replacements along with o rings and sealant. 8/18 still no injectors but would mail them out today. On 8/24 I received a package with 1 injector and no o ring or sealant. Still no instructions or a video on youtube. 8/25 youtube videos up. 8/26 he said that he sent a ticket in to pay pal for my refund on the cores. 9/4/15 still no refund on core charges. He stated that sometimes it takes 10 days. I reinstalled rebuilt injector and ran truck in park at 1200 RPM for 1 hour to break in as was told by Diesel Guru. Got several codes on scanner. It showed balance rates on 3 injectors out of line. So once again I tore down both banks and sent him 3 bad injectors. On 9/15 we decided to send him all the injectors because the 3 that I had sent him were dirty. I also send him the 8 injector lines that he said that he would clean. He said that he would get them done right away and send them out. Then he calls me and said that the fuel lines had small metal shavings breaking loose from high temps and high miles and they had clogged 3 injectors. He bought a special microscope to reveal that information to him. I asked him to send me the video of the metal shavings and he said that he would. The truck has less than 140k on it. So he ordered me 8 fuel supply lines that were new and cost $199 along with a set of banjo bolts that I needed and they were on the way again) On 9/28 the injectors were soaking and he should have them done in a day or two. On 10/2 I still haven’t got anything from pay pal and he said that he should have injectors in the mail by Monday and once again please be patient. He also said that he will then work on the core refund. ( I thought that he already did that 2 months ago?) On 10/7 he said that he would send me the video of microscopic shavings in the nozzles and the fuel lines are on there way and he should have them done by this weekend. On 10/21 he send me an other email saying that he charged me for 8 injector seal kits, 8 nozzles to make a matched set (he wanted to send me 3 standard and 5 that were 100hp nozzles which is what he had originally put on the first 8) but he gave me credit of $25 each for the 5 good ones, $299 for fuel lines (not the $199 he told me) a $35 return shipping charge and he never did order the banjo bolts that he said he did. On 10/15 he said that he would ship everything and get me the tracking number. 10/21 he said that he had mailed them on 10/20 and would get me the tracking number when he got back to the post office. (well remember I am a retired mailman and the Post Office gives you a tracking number when you mail the package) He said that I should get the package by Saturday 10/24. (if he mailed it on 10/20 I should have had it on Friday 10/23 at the latest Priority mail) Well it didn’t come Saturday. Now it’s Monday and still no package. Tuesday, no package. Talked to him and he said that the package mailing store was probably flooded but he would call tomorrow and get tracking number. This is tomorrow and you guessed it, no package. I called him and he said that he had a tracer put on package but he couldn’t tell me who he used for shipping. Not sure why but he said it was missing because of the flood. Again if he mailed it on Tuesday or Wednesday the rain didn’t come until Saturday. He also told me that he would have pay pal refund me for my core charges. That was supposed to have been done on 8/26. Once again I’m asked to be patient. I’ll keep you posted. 10/29 he called me and said that he would build another set on injectors and send them to me. He would also send me a tracking number. They should be in the mail on 10/30. Well I was out of town for the month of November but no injectors were delivered. I talked with Diesel Speed and Marine a couple of times and he said that they would be in the mail. But still couldn’t give me a tracking number. After a couple of weeks and still no injectors I tried to contact him several times with no success. I contacted Pay Pal to try to secure a refund and am in that process now. A couple of days after I contacted Pay Pal he called me and said that his quality control guy forgot to mail them and then went on vacation but they were put in the mail on 12/3 or 4 and would be here by 12/11 or 12/12. He also said that he would text me the tracking number. Well he never texted me with the tracking number and this is Saturday 12/12 and still no package. I tried to contact Diesel Speed and Marine and no response. As you can see I have kept very good records of emails and correspondence. It seems that in the last couple of months he has been reluctant to leave emails or texts. The last time that I spoke to him he said that he preferred not to. Wouldn’t you know it Pay Pal said that it was to late to file a claim. I filed a report to BBB and finally got a response from Pat. He said that I “mucked up” the injectors when I installed. (How do 3 injectors go bad after only running truck in the driveway for 1 hour?) He didn’t say anything about all the other documentation that I had sent to BBB. The last I heard from him was on 12/15 with the usual “They’re in the mail. But I can’t give you a tracking number.” Hopefully they will not be dirty, wrapped in a plastic sandwich bag, with no protective caps over the fuel inlets and returns. This is 12/17 and you guessed it, no package. I hope that you’ll find this report both amusing as well as a warning to stay far away!

I met this man calling himself the diesel guru, through an advertisement on youtube. He is doing business as diesel speed and Marine, is real name is Patrick McCallough. he seems to be very friendly, very helpful, I ordered remanufactured parts along with new parts, the items were Dodge Cummins injectors. After three weeks of emails of him telling me that he had forgotten to send them or they had been damaged and he received them back, plus many other excuses. I finally put a hold on the money that I had sent him through PayPal. The same day that happened he called me and said he sent me the items above that very morning. Which he did not send out really tell the next day according to the tracking number he sent me. What I received was someone else's worn-out used parts. Nothing new about them, nothing remanufactured. I am not the only one that this has happened to.

This man is a pure scam artist. And he is very good at it. He will reply to this with nothing but lies and slanderous remarks against me. I expect that. What I said is the truth. If he had been a honest businessman I would have had no reason to go to all of this trouble. I am posting this as a warning to anyone with a diesel vehicle.

Do not do business with anybody calling themselves diesel guru a.k.a. Patrick McCallough a.k.a. diesel speed and Marine out of Texas.

Once this man had my money he cut off all communications with me. At first I wanted a refund, after thinking about that I knew he would lie and I would not only be out the $1143 cash I sent him through PayPal, he would have had these old injectors that are at least worth $600. I cut my costs and thought it best to just lose the $543 rather than the whole amount.

the police officers I have talked to call this a Ponzi scheme, taking used parts that other people send in along with their cash, and then sending them out as new parts after cleaning them off with gasoline.

I have tried to contact other people that have done business with him and I have not talk to anyone that has received the items they ordered. they all have been scanned.
